One week.Private cabin.Famous physicist.Still an unrepentant slacker. What’s the worst that could happen?

Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she'd hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.

Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

Also in this series: Motion (Laws of Physics, #1; Hypothesis, #2.1)

YA Review My Thoughts

Space is the second book in the Laws of Physics series by Author Penny Reid. But to make things a bit confusing, the Laws of Physics series is the second trilogy series in the Hypothesis series. Each of the trilogy follows a new set of characters, but at least one of the main characters is tied to science. And I love a nerdy romance. Especially if Penny Reid is the author. I think you all know by now that she is one of my very favorite authors of all time. I loved the first book, Motion soo much ( you can check out my review HERE)

Space picks up a few years after the events from Motion left off, with Mona running off on Abram, and replacing herself with her twin sister Lisa. (if any of this sounds confusing to you, then you need to go back and read motion because this is a series that does need to be read in order.) I loved Motion so much, but I was a little bit nervous of how we were going to treat the whole Mona pretending to be Lisa thing in regards to Abram. Did he know what happened? My concern stemmed from the fact that I couldn’t imagine that he wouldn’t have pieced it together somewhere in the last 2 years. And my concern was all for nothing, because of course Penny Reid gave Abram the credit he deserved and didn’t have him bumbling around like an idiot. Of course he knew soon after that Mona was who he really spent a week with.

Space turned out to take a totally different path than I was expecting. It was still fantastic, it just followed a different story arch. I loved watching Abram and Mona interact as themselves. That was such a huge treat for me. At the beginning of the book Abram was too bitter for my tastes, but I can certainly understand why, but I wanted him to get over it already because I love Abram and Mona. Love them so much! Luckily my wishes were answered and we still had plenty of the book to watch them interact in their own adorable way. I think I liked Motion a bit more than I enjoyed Space, but Space was a wonderful follow up. I can’t wait to see how the conclusion will play out in Time, which comes out later this month.

Penny Reid just writes amazing romances. Romances that make you laugh, make you smile and make you swoon. I just love this story. It does end on a cliffhanger, and it certainly did it’s job. It made me want to grab the last book right away. If you are new to Penny Reid, start with Motion. You will love this book. Penny, you are my idol. (See I am buttering you up because I need book 2 right now. I have to know what is going to happen next! Once he sees both twins in the same room, he has to know who is who. He has to!!) Amazing Romance, but of course I expect nothing less!

About Penny Reid

SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).

By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.
