{Review+Giveaway} TOO WILD TO TAME by Tessa Bailey @mstessabailey @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} TOO WILD TO TAME by Tessa Bailey @mstessabailey @ForeverRomance

Warning: This is second book in a series that should be read in order. If you are new to the series, check out my review of book one- Too Hot To Handle HERE Too Wild to Tame is the second book in the Romancing the Clarksons series by Tessa Bailey. I really loved book,  Too Hot to Handle. This series is an adult contemporary romance series. Book one is still my favorite, but this second installment was good as well. I just love all of Tessa Bailey’s works. What I liked the most about this book and this series is the concept. I love a series of interconnected standalone novels, each focusing on a different character. There are tons of books which follow this pattern and it is a big winner for me. Even better if they are books that center around a family or group of siblings. I think that is very interesting and adds another layer of complexity and familiarity between the novels. This series centers around the… Read more »

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} THE BACHELOR AUCTION by Rachel Van Dyken

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} THE BACHELOR AUCTION by Rachel Van Dyken

The Bachelor Auction is the first book in Bachelors of Arizona series by Rachel Van Dyken. The Bachelors of Arizona series is an adult contemporary romance series, but I feel like it will have crossover appeal to the new adult audience as well. I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, fun and cute read, so a quick little mini review will do for this one. The Bachelor Auction is a a take on a Cinderella story, and I loved the main woman- Jane. She stole the show for me. I found her to be charming and delightful really. I also like Brock but I didn’t fully love him. I think Brock is the reason why out of all Rachel’s books I have read, this one is not my number one pick. It does have Rachel’s signature witty and fun writing style. I really love her writing, by the way. And because she is such a strong writer, her romances are always really enjoyable to read, but Brock was a… Read more »

{ARC Review} Caraval by Stephanie Garber @sgarbergirl @FierceReads @Flatironbooks

{ARC Review} Caraval by Stephanie Garber @sgarbergirl @FierceReads @Flatironbooks

Caraval is the first book in a new, young adult fantasy series of the same name by author Stephanie Garber. Caraval has gotten so much excellent hype that when I grabbed a copy at ALA last year, I could hardly contain myself. I am always a little weary of books that have so, so much hype surrounding them, but I am happy to say that Caraval certainly delivered. And then some. I loved this book and I cannot wait for book 2 when we get a chance to journey back to this magical world Stephanie Garber created. Caraval does have a romance in it, and it was a romance that I really enjoyed, but what I liked even more than the romance was that the main characters, and main focus, of this book were the two sisters. It was really refreshing to see such a great bond between them. And trust me, no matter what your initial impressions might be, there is a great bond between the two girls. Scarlet… Read more »

{Review} The Room Mate by @KendallRyan1

{Review} The Room Mate by @KendallRyan1

The Room Mate was originally slated as being a standalone contemporary romance by Kendall Ryan, but now she is going to make it into a series. I am so excited that this is now the first book in the new adult romance series, called Roommates. I loved The Room Mate, and it really shouldn’t be any surprise why. First, Kendall Ryan writes kick ass romances. Second, I love the whole brother/sister’s best friend trope. And third, I think the whole roommate trope is my favorite ever.  So when you combine all three, well, you have a match made in new adult heaven for me. And now I get to see more and more rommmate stories from Kendall. YES PLEASE!! There is just something about forced proximity in the roommates trope that adds a whole other layer to a romance. A layer that I can’t get enough of. The Room Mate is the story of Cannon and Paige. I loved Paige, but I loved Cannon. I mean, what is not to… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} The Rule Maker by Jennifer Blackwood @Jen_Blackwood @EPEmbrace

{Review+Giveaway} The Rule Maker by Jennifer Blackwood @Jen_Blackwood @EPEmbrace

The Rule Maker is the second book in the New Adult (Or maybe adult- I consider this one a cross over that would appeal to readers of both age groups) in the Rule Breakers series by Jennifer Blackwood. I absolutely loved book one, The Rule Book. It reminded me of The Devil Wears Prada with a male boss, and a whole lot more romance. I really enjoyed it! So I was super excited for The Rule Maker. I really enjoyed The Rule Maker too. I think I liked The Rule Book just a tad more, but this was a great read and an awesome second book in the series. The Rule Maker is Zoey and Ryder’s story. We got to see each of them in the Rule Book, so while you can read this independently of the first book, this is a series that I think is great to read in order. Zoey is Lainey’s roommate from The Rule Book and Ryder is the the shirtless guy from the first… Read more »

{Review} No Breaking My Heart by Kate Angell

{Review} No Breaking My Heart by Kate Angell

No Breaking My Heart  is the fifth book in the Barefoot William series by Kate Angell. I have not read any books either in this series, nor by Kate Angell yet. but I was pleasantly surprised by No Breaking My Heart. It was a quick, fun read that made me smile and laugh from start to finish. Which is exactly what I was looking for. Each of the books in the Barefoot William series can be read as standalones. I had no problem jumping right into this story. Each of the books follows a different couple. No Breaking My Heart is Alyn and Halo’s story. And I really liked the two of them, but what I found really interesting was that there was also a secondary couple forming in the story. Landon and Eden. I’m not sure if this is typical in this series, if there is the base set up for the next book and couple it will feature, or if that was unique to this book in the… Read more »

{Review} Fly With Me by @ChanelCleeton @BerkleyRomance

{Review} Fly With Me by @ChanelCleeton @BerkleyRomance

Fly With Me is the first book in the new adult contemporary romance series, called Wild Aces, by Chanel Cleeton. Fly With Me was my first experience with a Chanel Cleeton book, and I was super excited to read it for many reasons. Chanel is a fellow law school survivor, I have a few of her books on my TBR because they all sound so good, and I was really in the mood for a swoony romance, and I have heard she is the go to author for that. So I grabbed Fly With Me and dug right in. Flash forward to three hours later and I am so engrossed in Noah and Jordan’s story. I finished this book and had no idea how much time had passed. I went into my own little world and didn’t resurface until I had no more pages to turn. (and if I didn’t have a pesky job getting in the way, I would have immediately grabbed book 2!) Fly with Me was such a satisfying… Read more »
