2020 Reading Challenges

Posted January 12, 2020 by Michelle @ Book Briefs in reading challenges, Uncategorized / 3 Comments

I cannot believe we are already in 2020! I haven’t participated in reading challenges in a few years now, but I used to love them!

So I decided for one of my blogging resolutions, I would like to get back into the reading challenge mode. I love challenges because they help me grab books that are not just review books to read, like some of my older books that I have been putting off, or having found time to get to, and they force me to be more social. I love seeing other people’s progress and checking in with them.

I also am hoping to find some new blogs to love. A lot of the blogs I used to follow are no longer blogging, which makes me sad, but that really means I have an opportunity to discover new awesome blogs! So comment below with some blogs you think I should check out, or if you have a challenge I haven’t found yet, let me know that also!

ok, let’s get to it. Here are the challenges I am signing up for in 2020.

I will also use this page to update my progress. I am also aiming to do a reading challenge update in monthly wrap up posts.

Why I signed up: This game looks like a ton of fun! I love playing actual monopoly, and romance version of monopoly is even better. But this challenge is going to be really hard for me to track. There are multiple ways to play this game/challenge, and they have created two complete challenge sets (a moon and a sun pack)

I am aiming to make it all the way around the board and to complete the moon pack. Here are some of the options, but if you are interested in this challenge, they have an entire website dedicated to resources (like an awesome genre guide) , rules, and all kinds of downloads. They spent an incredible amount of time with Romanceopoly, and I am going to incorporate this with my 2020 always fully booked reading planner.

Kimberly Faye Reads created a trello board for romanceopoly that you can use (but copy it for yourself first, so you are not editing hers)

Goal:

THE ADVENTURER

Go around the board once completing all the challenges as set by either the Moon or Sun challenge pack.

  1. Wow that’s a lot of really cool challenges you’re participating in! The reading assignment challenge sounds so unique and it’s tempting me to join! But I know myself and the time I’ll have and can’t commit to more than the challenges I’m already doing, haha. Can’t wait to see how these go for you this year though! Good luck!

  2. Here’s wishing you all the luck with your reading challenges! Nicole over at Feed Your Fiction Addiction hosts a monthly discussion challenge that I’ve been wanting to do, and I adore her blog. Here’s hoping we both have fun with that this year!
