Giveaway Policy

As of 3/6/17, Book Briefs’ Contest Policy is as follows:

By entering a giveaway on BookBriefs, all entrants agree to accept and abide to the following guidelines:

  • Book Briefs is NOT responsible for any lost, or stolen items.
  • Book Briefs is NOT responsible for computer errors or any technical errors that my affect an entry.
  • BookBriefs is NOT responsible for any 3rd party giveaways. (for example when the book is sent by a publisher/author)
  • Unless otherwise stated, all entries are open to US entrants (International giveaways will be marked as such).
  • Odds of winning depend on the number of received entries.
  • There is no purchase required to enter any giveaway on Book Briefs.
  • Book Briefs holds the right to end a contest/giveaway without prior notice under my own discretion
  • All giveaway winners are drawn at random via Rafflecopter (and Rafflecopter terms and conditions also apply)
  • Prizes are to be accepted as awarded with no substitutions.
  • All contests/giveaways are open to those 16 years of age or older (or 18, see specific giveaway for age restrictions)
  • If entrant is 18 years of age or younger, permission from parent/guardian is required
  • At the end of each contest/giveaway, (1) the winners information will be given to the appropriate parties (publishers, authors, etc.) who are hosting the giveaway OR (2) I will send out the prize out. (I cannot make any guarantees as to the timeliness of the prize shipment from either myself or from publishers)
  • Winners will  be announced on the blog, and they will be contacted via email
  • Book Briefs does not keep or sell addresses after the completion of the contest/giveaway.
    • all information and entries are deleted immediately following the end of the giveaway. Book Briefs does not store any information of this kind.
  • Winners must respond within 48 hours to an email/notification that announces they have won a prize. If there is not a response from the winner within the 48 hour period from the original notification, the winner will be disqualified and another winner will be drawn.
  • Each contest/giveaway is different so be sure to read the rules for each one carefully

By entering a contest on Book Briefs you are consenting to all of these rules and conditions. You are also giving book briefs the permission to contact a publisher on your behalf and provide your information for shipping purposes only. (after you are contacted by email)
