The Silence of the Lambs meets Sadie in this riveting psychological thriller about two teenagers teaming up with the FBI to track down juvenile serial killers.
In 1982, two teenagers—serial killer survivor Emma Lewis and US Marshal candidate Travis Bell—are recruited by the FBI to interview convicted juvenile killers and provide insight and advice on cold cases. From the start, Emma and Travis develop a quick friendship, gaining information from juvenile murderers that even the FBI can't crack. But when the team is called in to give advice on an active case—a serial killer who exclusively hunts teenagers—things begin to unravel. Working against the clock, they must turn to one of the country's most notorious incarcerated murderers for help: teenage sociopath Simon Gutmunsson. Despite Travis's objections, Emma becomes the conduit between Simon and the FBI team. But while Simon seems to be giving them the information they need to save lives, he's an expert manipulator playing a very long game...and he has his sights set on Emma.
Captivating, harrowing, and chilling, None Shall Sleep is an all-too-timely exploration of not only the monsters that live among us, but also the monsters that live inside us.

YA Review My Thoughts

None Shall Sleep is a young adult contemporary book about serial killers by author Ellie Marney. I have become a bit of a true crime junkie, so the tagline of this book completely got me. It is being marketed as “The Silence of the Lambs meets Sadie in this riveting psychological thriller about two teenagers teaming up with the FBI to track down juvenile serial killers.” None Shall Sleep may actually cause you to lose sleep. This book was amazing and seriously, genuinely creepy. It reminded me most of the netflix show Mindhunters, which I also love. It has a dark vibe where the teens are helping the FBI track down serial killers, but along the way things get really dark. This book completely took me by surprise in the best, albeit creepy, way!

None Shall Sleep is set in the 1980s, where two teens get recruited by the FBI to help them track down killers. Our teens are Emma, who has survived a serial killer and Travis, who is a US marshal Candidate. Emma and Travis were great main characters! I was a little bit worried when I first saw teenage serial killer hunters because I didn’t know if it would feel forced for them to work with the FBI but I loved why they were selected.

The plot of None Shall Sleep will keep you on your toes the whole time. This book is fast paced and super twisty! I freakin’ loved all the twists and turns! Bottom line: if you are a fan of serial killers, true crime and Mindhunters, then you need None Shall Sleep in your life right now! Just don’t blame me if you do actually lose sleep after reading it. I have been thinking about this book pretty much non-stop since finishing it last night. It is awesome! blue4

I like the added storyline of teenagers to a murder mystery. FBI, serial killer, murder, who done it, is all good and everything, but I like when there’s a new focus on a storyline like this. I look forward to the chance at winning a copy!
