{Review} WILD FOR YOU by @Daisy_Prescott

{Review} WILD FOR YOU by @Daisy_Prescott

WILD FOR YOU  is the third book in the new adult contemporary romance, Love with Altitude series by Daisy Prescott. Each of the books in the series can be read as standalone contemporary romances. Wild For You is the first book in the series that I have read, but not the first Daisy Prescott book I have read. I really enjoyed Daisy’s Wingman series, so I knew that I was going to enjoy Wild For You. Daisy is a feel good contemporary author that never fails to put me in a better mood. Wild For You might be my favorite book I have read of hers yet. It was such a sweet romance. Lighter on the sexy than her other books, but really really sweet. I loved it. Wild For You is told in dual narrative between Zoe and Justin. I liked both Zoe and Justin a lot, but I did find myself wishing for more chapters from Justin’s point of view. It felt like there were more Zoe chapters,… Read more »

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely

MOST VALUABLE PLAYBOY is a standalone sports romance by Lauren Blakely. I was super excited for this book for two reasons. One, it is written by Lauren Blakely, and I love her romances and two it is written in the guy’s POV! I am such a huge fan of romances written in the guy’s point of view. I just love to get inside their heads and live for awhile, and I know I am not the only person who feels that way. You will all be happy to know that I absolutely LOVED Most Valuable Playboy. It was everything I was looking for in a sports romance and more. It might even be my very favorite Lauren Blakely book to date! Most Valuable Playboy is the story of  Cooper and Violet. There are so many of my favorite Tropes in this story, I don’t even know where to start. We have a fake relationship, we have guy’s point of view, we have best friend’s sister. So many yeses!!! So many!… Read more »

{Review} One True Pairing by @CathyYardley

{Review} One True Pairing by @CathyYardley

One True Pairing is the second book in the Fandom Hearts series by Cathy Yardley, but it can be read as a standalone. I have not read book one, nor did I know it was part of a series when I first picked up the book, but I had absolutely no problem following along. The tag line for One True Pairing is “a geek girl rom com”. I mean, does that not sound like something right up my alley. It totally does, and it totally was. It is like a new adult version of Geekerella. I really enjoyed this fun story, where one girl gets to live out every fandom girl’s dream- having the actor fall for you. One True Pairing is a really fun story. I enjoyed it a lot. It has some issues and roadblocks, but largely this book was pretty lighthearted, which is just what I was looking for. I loved all the fandom elements. I am finding out that I love a book that has a… Read more »

{Review} Twisted Twosome by @AuthorMegQuinn ‏

{Review} Twisted Twosome by @AuthorMegQuinn ‏

Twisted Twosome is a standalone romantic comedy by author Meghan Quinn. I have really enjoyed all of Meghan’s books that I have read in the past, and twisted Twosome was no exception. This was a fun banter filled romantic comedy about an unlikely couple that I downed in one sitting. There was really only one thing that bugged me, which we will get to later, but I doubt it will bug many of you. I think I am just weird. Let’s start with all of the things I loved about Twisted Twosome. I loved that this book was told in dual narrative between Racer and Georgiana, or Georgie as he calls her. I loved all of the bickering, bantering and pranks galore between the two of them. They were constantly trying to one up the other one, and I found it to be hilarious. Meghan Quinn is so good at writing romantic comedies. Her books always have me laughing. I also love the way she writes romantic tension. She is… Read more »

{Review} All I Need by Callie Harper

{Review} All I Need by Callie Harper

All I need is the fourth book in the adult romance All In series by Callie Harper. I didn’t realize this book was part of a series while I was reading it, so suffice it to say it can be read as a standalone. I would be interested in seeing who the previous three books featured. I wasn’t sure if there was character overlap in this world or if they are really standalones. All I need had a contemporary beauty and the beast vibe. I enjoyed this book throughout, but it didn’t blow me away. The writing and romance were good, but I think the main male character rubbed me the wrong way so I didn’t fall head over heels with him. All I need is told in dual narrative between Annie and Ian. Annie is hired by Ian’s father to be a live in caretaker for Ian, who was injured as a teenager in a boating accident. I liked Annie but Ian was way too much for me. Too much… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} The Dragons of Nova by @EliseKova @PriceWorldPub

*Please Note: This is a series that must be read in order. If you are new to the series, check out my review of book one- The Alchemists of Loom HERE** The Dragons of Nova is the Second book in the Loom Saga by author Elise Kova. The Loom Saga is a young adult high fantasy series that I have completely fallen in love with. I absolutely LOVED the first book, The Alchemists of Loom, and the second book- The Dragons of Nova was every bit as good as the first! In the Dragons of Nova we get to really delve more into the politics and struggles in the worlds of Loom and Nova and we get to revisit old characters and get to know some new characters as well. This series is one that instantly grabbed me and has yet to let go. It is by far one of the best series I have read in 2017. And the third book, The Rebels of Gold is scheduled to release in December of… Read more »

I promise, I am very good at keeping a secret. 😉 😉 I read, and totally LOVED loved loved all of the Checkmate stories. Books 1 and 2 are Viola and Travis’ story, and books 3 and 4 are Drew and Courtney‘s story, and books 5 and 6 are Logan and Kayla’s story. {Review} Dating-Ish by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

{Review} Dating-Ish by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

‘Dating-ish’ can be read as a standalone, is a full length 100k word novel, and is book #6 in the Knitting in the City Series. Dating-ish is a romantic comedy from the fabulous Penny Reid. By now, I think you all know that Penny is one of my all time favorite authors. I absolutely love everything she writes. Seriously, everything. I can count the amount of authors that is true of on my hands, so it is a big deal to me. I have not read all of the Knitting in the City books, which I need to rectify immediately because they are so excellent. I have read a couple of them. Each of the novels works as a standalone, but they are about a group of friends, so reading them all does give you some nice character and couple overlap. Dating-ish follows Marie and Matt. I absolutely loved the two of them. I want another book written from Matt’s point of view, or some deleted scenes or something because… Read more »

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Tempting Levi by @jules_barnard @givemebooksblog

Happy Release day to Tempting Levi, the first book in a new series by Author Jules Barnard. Tempting Levi is the first book in the new adult contemporary romance, Cade Brothers series by author Jules Barnard. I have read, and really enjoyed, the first couple of books in Jules’ series, which used to be called the Blue series, and is now called the Men of Lake Tahoe series. I really enjoyed the books I read from the series, and I have been meaning to finish it. Now that I have read, and enjoyed Tempting Levi as well, maybe that will be the motivation I need to pick up the next book in the Men of Lake Tahoe series. Tempting Levi is told in dual narrative between our main character Levi, and Emily. Before I dive into what I liked about the characters, let me set up the series for you, because I really love the setup. Levi and his brothers have inherited their father’s luxury resort. His father left Levi in… Read more »
