The Goddess of Death, the Grimm Brothers, and the Devil collide in a thrilling new paranormal fantasy series.
Primrose Titan is the Goddess of Death, an ancient deity who reaps the souls of the dead and rules the Underworld. All life ends with death, and in death, there is no happiness. Primrose knows this better than anyone, and her heavy responsibility has twisted her reality, purging her of all feelings for humans—or so she believes.
When the Demon King Lucifer escapes his prison in Hell and threatens chaos on the human world, Primrose must hunt him down. The High Court, a council of deities, is skeptical Primrose can handle Lucifer on her own and appoints the handsome yet icy Atlas Grimm, one of the fabled Grimm Brothers, to assist her. Strange, dark magic and supernatural creatures sent from the Devil himself stand in their way, along with political enemies acquired over the millennia.

@darkmagicnovel is the first book in the Chronicles of the Underworld Series by @ralucanarita. First, I have to say that Dark Magic is a stunningly beautiful book. I loved the hardcover edition, and I loved how pretty the inside of the book was. And then I am also very happy to report that the story is just as great as the aesthetics of the book! Dark Magic was a fantastic paranormal journey and I can’t wait to see where the next book in the series is going to take us.
In Dark Magic, we meet our main character Primrose, who is a fierce goddess of death. Her job is to reap souls and bring them into the underworld. I love a good reaper story and Primrose was a great main character. She was well fleshed out, and I really enjoyed reading from her perspective. We join her on her journey to take down Lucifer. Lucifer was also an interesting character. I quite enjoyed Raluca’s story telling and character development.
We also have a gods of Olympus and the set up for them was done in a really interesting way. I loved this take on the gods and the high court. The romance was good, and I am interested to see where it goes in the next book, but I wasn’t head over heels in love with the romance just yet. Lots of different mythology was packed into this story and I think that was my favorite element. Overall, I enjoyed this book and would like to continue on with the series.
