{Review+Giveaway} Throttle Me by Chelle Bliss @ChelleBliss1

{Review+Giveaway} Throttle Me by Chelle Bliss @ChelleBliss1

Throttle Me is the first book in the Men of Inked Series. I will also be reviewing the rest of the books in the coming weeks on my blog. Throttle Me is the first book in the Men of Inked Series. It has been classified by some people as new adult, but I think this is squarely in the adult contemporary romance category. It is the story of Suzy and City, or Joey as I prefer to think of him. Throttle Me is just as much a story about how Joey finds love, as it is a story about how Suzy finally lets go of herself and all of her preconceived notions of what the “right” guy will be like for her. City is the opposite of what she thought she would find in a guy, but I loved how persistent he was in showing her she was wrong about him. City looks every bit the role of the “bad boy”. He is tatted up, and has multiple piercings. Rides… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} I Want it That Way by @MsAnnAguirre @InkSlingerPR

{Review+Giveaway} I Want it That Way by @MsAnnAguirre @InkSlingerPR

I Want it That Way is the first in a New Adult Contemporary Series from Ann Aguirre. I had no idea she was so versatile as an author. I loved her new adult contemporary just as much as I loved her young adult dystopian. The unique thing that I am enjoying about this series is that we get to see the book covers and synopsis for each of the books right up front. I know whose story each of them are going to be about. It was cool because while I was reading this one, I saw some of the characters that the other books were going to be about and let’s just say they are not ready for their stories yet. They have crushes on other people or they are dating someone else right now. It was kind of fun seeing them now when I know their story will focus on something different down the road. But this story is about one of the young ladies in apartment 2B-… Read more »

{Guest Post+Giveaway} Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto @MissAllyGrace

{Guest Post+Giveaway} Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto @MissAllyGrace

TOP FIVE GHOST MOVIES   1. The Woman in Black,  because who doesn’t love a good period horror film!? So much care and detail went into creating the atmosphere of the Eel Marsh House. The scares aren’t too frequent, but I think they’re worth waiting for. And that ending moment…actually, I’m writing this alone in my room and I better not think about it! Also, I should admit, that I was very attracted to Daniel Radcliffe in period costume. I can’t wait for the sequel with Jeremy Irvine *swoon* 2. The Others This is one of my all-time favorites. “They’re everywhere – they say this house is theirs.” Doesn’t that just give you chills? This movie is a lot more subtle and suspenseful than the average horror film and Nicole Kidman is captivating. She plays a mother living in an isolated house just after the end of WW2. She has two children (Anne and Nicholas) who suffer from an allergy to light and as a result, the house must be kept in darkness. Then… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} Fly by T.A. Foster @tafosterwriter

{ARC Review+Giveaway} Fly by T.A. Foster @tafosterwriter

Fly is a short and romantic read. I didn’t think it would turn out to be as romantic as it was. I thought it would be more sexy fun, which it was but it was also surprisingly sweet. I flew through Fly very quickly. It was an instant gratification, one sitting read that will perk up your afternoon or evening. Fly is the start of a new New Adult Contemporary series from T.A. Foster. At least I think it is. The book is a standalone but we met both Bolt and Skye’s Single friends so I smell a series brewing! I normally don’t read too many military books. I have no idea why, but I just haven’t yet. Fly made me wonder what the heck I was waiting for. Skye is a strong lady. I really liked her. And I loved that Bolt saw that she was different. I loved seeing Skye at work. I wanted her to succeed so badly with the tourism and zoo campaign. There was a… Read more »

{ARC Review} Trial By Fire by Josephine Angelini @josieangelini

{ARC Review} Trial By Fire by Josephine Angelini @josieangelini

Trial by Fire is a book filled with so many awesome elements. Not only are the characters fantastic, but the plot is original and the concept is thought provoking and utterly cool! It reminded me on an episode of the Big Bang theory where Sheldon is talking about an infinite number of universes and an Infinite number of different Sheldons. That is the world you get introduced to in Trial by Fire. Lily Proctor is in our world, and then she isn’t. She is taken to a different world where a bunch of people are familiar to her, but everything else is so very different. Magic exists and witches rule. But that is only the beginning. Josephine Angelini does an incredible job of blending science with magic. These are witches, or crucibles as they are called, like I have never seen them before. I love that their magic stems from converting elements and substances that they take in from their surroundings. The book starts out in our world, but Lily… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Summers Temptation by @AshleyLWillis

{Review+Giveaway} Summers Temptation by @AshleyLWillis

Man, I can’t believe just a few weeks ago I was in a reading slump. I have been loving the books I have picked up since SO FREAKIN’ MUCH! Summers Temptation kept me up until 2:30 am on a work night because I couldn’t stop reading. I have found my new book boyfriend, fell in love with the characters and the romance was just what I was looking for, and I didn’t even know before I started reading. This is a great new adult contemporary. A great one! Cassie is still reeling from her last heartbreak, and she has sworn off guys. Oh honey, I have heard that one before. But I give her props, she really stuck to it better than I thought she would be able to. She was able to convince herself that what she was doing was really no strings attached. But as much as I loved Cassie, I loved Tyler more. He was such an interesting conundrum. On one hand, he really did seem like… Read more »
