{Review} Mate of a Dragon Villain by Mandy Rosko @Rizzorosko

{Review} Mate of a Dragon Villain by Mandy Rosko @Rizzorosko

Mate of a Dragon Villain by Mandy Rosko is part of the Skeleton Key book series. I really love the set up of this series. It is a group of almost 30 authors, each one writing a book featuring a skeleton key that unlocks a secret world. But all of the books are vastly different. Different themes, different age groups and different sub genres. I just love that idea. So whether you like young adult, new adult or adult, you will be able to find a book for you. If you want to know more information about the series you can check out the website dedicated to the books. Skeleton Key Book Series One Skeleton Key. Endless Adventures. https://skeletonkeybookseries.com Mate of a Dragon Villain is up there as one of my favorite of the books I have read so far in the Skeleton Key series. It might even be my very favorite one. Stick with me on this one. I know the title threw me for a loop before I… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} If I Told You by Jennifer Domenico @JenDomenico

{Review+Giveaway} If I Told You by Jennifer Domenico @JenDomenico

Jennifer Domenico never lets me down! This makes 2 out of 2 books of hers that I have read and ABSOLUTELY LOVED. I was just telling someone the other day that I was itching for a 5 star read, after having a lot of 3 and 3.5 star reads lately, and my wish has been granted. If I Told You is a  new adult contemporary romance by Jennifer Domenico, and it is breathtakingly awesome. It is told in dual narrative between Brooklyn and Flynn, which I loved. Jennifer’s last book that I read, Chasing Desire (review here) was split in half, so the first half was from one characters point of view and the second half was from another’. I liked this way better because I get impatient when I want to switch over to the guys POV. This way I got to get into Flynn’s head sooner. I love a good friends to lovers storyline and the food critic just spiced things up even more. I was so interested… Read more »

{Interview+Giveaway} The Woman in the Photo by @AuthorMaryHogan

{Interview+Giveaway} The Woman in the Photo by @AuthorMaryHogan

What’s the story behind THE WOMAN IN THE PHOTO?  How did the book come to be? I first had the idea for this book 24 years ago! I’m not kidding. In 1992, my husband, actor Robert Hogan, was in an off-Broadway play called On the Bum, also starring Cynthia Nixon and Campbell Scott. The play was set in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, several years after the epic flood. The characters talked about a “lake in the sky” which piqued my curiosity. A few days later, I went to the library to read about such strange geography. That’s when I read the real story of the Johnstown disaster. Wow. I was blown away. What a great story! I held my breath for 24 years worrying that someone would write my book before I got a chance to. There are other books out there about the flood, but nothing like mine.  How did you conduct your research for the book?  Are any of the characters in the book inspired by real-life people? While on… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Raw Redemption by Tessa Bailey@mstessabailey @EntangledSelect

{Review+Giveaway} Raw Redemption by Tessa Bailey@mstessabailey @EntangledSelect

Raw Redemption is the fourth book in the adult suspense series, called Crossing the Line by Tessa Bailey. Each of the books can be read as standalones, and I tested that theory because I am new to this series. Raw Redemption is a little bit different than a lot of the books I lean towards. It felt darker than most I read, and it was. But it was a keep you on the edge of your seat book. One that I really enjoyed. Raw Redemption is the story of one time cop, Henrik and Ailish. Henrik is the strong and very intense type. Raw Redemption is not what I would calla light and fluffy book. It is dark and gritty and really action packed. Know that going in. I wouldn’t bring this book to the pool. I would read it at night in bed, under covers when I wanted an action/adventure fix. It took a little bit of time for me to fall into the groove of the story because… Read more »
