{Review+Giveaway} Stroked by Meghan Quinn @AuthorMegQuinn

{Review+Giveaway} Stroked by Meghan Quinn @AuthorMegQuinn

Stroked is a new adult contemporary romance by Meghan Quinn. It is the first in a new series by the same name and I am pretty stoked for Stroked! With the summer olympics coming up, it is the perfect time to find a hot new swimmer as my next book boyfriend and that is exactly what I found in Reese! Stroked is told in three point of views- Reese, Paisley and Bellini. Bellini is so over the top, that even though she is awful, she is hilarious! She is a rich reality show royalty and she has set up a publicity relationship with Reese, who is known as the Silver Stroke because he has been unable to win a gold medal so far, to help both of their public images out. I got such a kick out of Bellini. The author’s tongue in cheek style, along with the crazy rediculousness that is Bellini paired really well. But obviously, this is the story of Reese and Paisley. I really enjoyed them… Read more »

{Review} Hot on His Heels by Margo Bond Collins

{Review} Hot on His Heels by Margo Bond Collins

Hot on His Heels is the 16th book in the What Happens in Vegas series by Margo Bond Collins. Hot on His Heels is an adult contemporary romance from the entangled Lovestruck line. And I have to say, the two main characters Sadie and Jake, did seem very lovestruck throughout the story. But unfortunately, I also have to say that I didn’t love Hot on His Heels as much as I wanted to. It is a quick read, and I can see a lot of people really enjoying the spicy-sweetness of the story but it didn’t mesh with me and my personality. Hot on His Heels is an interesting concept. Jake is a very famous romance editor, but because his brother is an ultra conservative politician and doesn’t want to smear his public image Jake has decided to hide behind a female persona. Sadie is a literature professor that is beautiful but has no idea and who is working on an academic piece that she thinks is bound to get… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} The Matchmaker’s Replacement by Rachel Van Dyken @RachVD

{ARC Review+Giveaway} The Matchmaker’s Replacement by Rachel Van Dyken @RachVD

Please Note: this is the second book in a series, that should be read in order. If you are new to the Wingmen Inc. series, first check out my review of book one- The Matchmaker’s Playbook HERE The Matchmaker’s Replacement is the second book in a new adult contemporary romance series, called Wingmen Inc., by Rachel Van Dyken. As the title and series name suggests, the series centers around two college friends that have a side business where they set up women with their crushes. I read, and enjoyed The Matchmaker’s Playbook, and while technically speaking the stories can be read as standalones, because the two friends are very integral in each others stories, and in their business, I feel like I got much more out of the story having read Ian’s story first. Ian is present throughout The Matchmaker’s Replacement and it was kind of cool to see how he is now with Blake, knowing how he was before. That will be even more interesting with Lex. I used… Read more »

{Review} Anything But Love by @Daisy_Prescott

{Review} Anything But Love by @Daisy_Prescott

Anything but Love by Daisy Prescott is the third book in the Wingmen series. The Wingmen series is a group of interconnected romantic comedies that can each be read as standalones. I know the summary describes this as an enemies to lovers story, but man oh man is that ever right. As soon as you start Anything But Love you immediately can feel how much dislike Cari feels for Erik. After the first scene, I wrote her off. I thought there was no way she was going to be the romantic interest because I could feel genuine hate searing from her eyeballs. But let me just tell you, that made the rest of the book all the more fun. Once I realized that she was Cari, I knew their story was going to be a good one. And it was. Anything But Love is the first book I have read from the Wingmen series and if they are all as funny, and hot, and fantastic as this one, then what… Read more »

{Review} #WickedBeautiful by @JTGeissinger @JacksHouse18

Wicked Beautiful is the first in the Wicked Games series by J. T. Geissinger. The Wicked Games series is an adult contemporary romance series, and I have just been eating this series up! Book two, Wicked Sexy is already out, and as soon as I finished book one, I immediately started scouring my kindle to find and start book 2. It is that good. (plus, I am super excited for the hackers story in Wicked Sexy! I love me some hackers) Wicked beautiful really has something for every kind of contemporary romance lover. There is some good ole revenge plots going on, some second chance love, some enemies to lovers, some mystery, and a whole lot of fun! When I tell you that I devoured this book in one sitting, I truly mean it. This book jumped to top of my to-do list the moment I started reading it. It was predictable and a little contrived in the sense that Man-hater Victoria just happens to be Parker’s long lost ()… Read more »

{ARC Review} Don’t Tempt Me by @LoriLFoster @HQNBooks

{ARC Review} Don’t Tempt Me by @LoriLFoster @HQNBooks

Don’t Tempt Me by Lori Foster is an adult contemporary romance told from multiple points of views. Nowadays it seems that dual narratives are almost the norm, so when I started reading Honor and Jason’s story, I thought that was just what Don’t Tempt Me was going to be. But it turned out to be a multi person narrative because we also got to see Honor’s friend Lexie and her romantic interest, as well. Honor moves into a house that needs a lot of TLC, but it allows her to be closer to her grandpa, which really warmed my heart. I loved Honor. She is fiercely independent, if not a little stubborn, but also super sweet and wholesome. I loved seeing her wonderful friendship with Lexie, even though her and Lexie seemed like polar opposites at times. And I really liked Honor with Jason. Jason is an interesting guy as well. I loved the dynamic of the neighborhood, and it is clear as day how integral Jason is to the… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} One Week to Score by Kate Meader @kittymeader @BrazenBooks

{Review+Giveaway} One Week to Score by Kate Meader @kittymeader @BrazenBooks

One Week to Score is the third book in the Tall, Dark, and Texan series by Kate Meader. The series is a group of interconnected standalones. The characters cross over but the stories can all be read independently. One Week to Score is the first book in the series that I have read. I am a sucker for a brother’s best friend trope, so I knew I had to read One Week to Score. And I was really glad that I did. Not only did I enjoy it immensely, but it made me want to grab Brody’s story next. Olivia and Flynn go way back. Then they didn’t speak for years and were both engaged to other people. One Week to Score picks up on Olivia’s wedding day as it all falls apart before it even gets started. Insert Flynn to pick up the pieces, against Olivia’s wishes. I loved the fun, bickering dynamic between the two of them. And it only gets hotter as they get closer. Flynn does… Read more »
