Forced to lie to protect her sister . . .From the New York Times Bestselling Author, Penny Reid

One week.Home alone.Girl genius.Unrepentant slacker.Big lie.What’s the worst that could happen?

Mona is a smart girl and figured everything out a long time ago. She had to. She didn’t have a choice. When your parents are uber-celebrities and you graduate from high school at fifteen, finish college at eighteen, and start your PhD program at nineteen, you don’t have time for distractions outside of your foci. Even fun is scheduled. Which is why Abram, her brother’s best friend, is such an irritant.

Abram is a talented guy, a supremely gifted musician, and has absolutely nothing figured out, nor does he seem to care. He does what he feels, when he feels, and—in Mona’s opinion—he makes her feel entirely too much.

Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

Also in this series: Space (Laws of Physics, #2; Hypothesis, #2.2)

My Thoughts

Motion is the first book in the Laws of Physics series by Author Penny Reid. But to make things a bit confusing, the Laws of Phsyics series is the second trilogy series in the Hypothesis series. Each of the trilogy follows a new set of characters, but at least one of the main characters is tied to science. And I love a nerdy romance. Especially if Penny Reid is the author. I think you all know by now that she is one of my very favorite authors of all time. And Motion is pretty high up there on the list of favorites as well. I loved this book so much, and I am DYING to get my hands on the second book in the series, which is slated to be released sometime next month.

In Motion we meet Mona, who is a twin. Her sister is Lisa, and they are both daughters of celebrities of some kind. But Mona is a celebrity of her own kind (in the science world at least) she went to college at 15 and she made a huge scientific discovery around that same age.) she is 19 when our story takes place and she is called to impersonate her twin sister, who is…different than Mona. Lisa is a partner, and her parents are threatening to cut her off. Mona somehow finds herself stuck for a week with one of her brother’s friend’s trying to convince him that she is Lisa. And that is where the magic happens.

Penny Reid just writes amazing romances. Romances that make you laugh, make yuo smile and make you swoon. I just love this story. It does end on a cliffhanger, and it certainly did it’s job. It made me want to grab the second book right at that moment. Even though that moment was 2 in the morning…on a work night. I still would have stayed up to read it. If you are new to Penny Reid, start with Motion. You will love this book. Penny, you are my idol. (See I am buttering you up because I need book 2 right now. I have to know what is going to happen next! Once he sees both twins in the same room, he has to know who is who. He has to!!) Amazing Romance, but of course I expect nothing less!

About Penny Reid

SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).

By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.
