{Discussion+Giveaway} Book Blogger Reputation

{Discussion+Giveaway} Book Blogger Reputation

In a world where metal and magic clash with deadly consequences, Amani finds herself becoming a myth in the making, legendary for her sharp-shooting skills, more gunpowder than girl. So, inspired by Amani’s legendary skills and growing reputation, I have been tasked with giving myself my own reputation in the Book Blogger world, highlighting skills, behaviors, designs, or habits that you would be famous for in the blogosphere. Normally, reputations comes from other people, so I am going to share what I think I would be known for. (if I am even known at all?? haha) and then I want you guys to tell me what you think my reputation actually is. Or what you think yours would be. Or make your own post and link me to it! I think that would be a lot of fun. I think my book blogger reputation is… The Blogger that reads ALL THE BOOKS! AKA The Speed Reader If I had to pull the most reoccurring comment that I get (other than… Read more »

Follow Friday- Blog Resolution #FF

Follow Friday- Blog Resolution #FF

Welcome to 2013 everyone! I’ve decided to try and be more social in the new year so I am taking part in more Follow Friday and other meme’s that help you get to know my fellow bloggers a little better. And this weeks question is perfect for this topic!  Q. What New Years blogging or writing resolution have you placed yourself on?  I made a post that goes into detail about all of my blogging and reading resolutions this year. You can check it out HERE if you want. But in short, I want to be more social commenting, tweeting and getting to know other bloggers. I also want to have more discussion posts and less cover reveals/promo posts. I also am going to accept less review books so I can hopefully get my TBR pile under control and read some of my own older books. What are your resolutions?? Leave me links in the comments below 🙂  If you enjoyed this post, please Subscribe to Book Briefs in a… Read more »

Follow Friday #FF

I’m so excited for this Follow Friday! I’m one of the featured bloggers this week 🙂 You can check out my post on http://www.alisoncanread.com/. Stop by and say hi ok now onto the question for today: Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book? This is a really hard question, because I LOVE movie adaptations of books. Yes, the books are normally better but there are some truly great book/movie adaptations out there. I guess if I had to pick one it would be Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Now don’t get me wrong, I think this may be a awesome and epic movie, but the writing style is where I have my reservations. I loved the writing style of Shatter Me, but I am not sure how it would translate onto the big screen. Would she have to keep a diary so she could strike her thoughts out? or would it… Read more »

Follow Friday (11)

If you are new to the #FF fun, Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name on Parajunkee’s site, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to Parajunkee, and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! ok now for the question! Q: If you could pick one character from a book movie or tv show to swap places with, who would it be? I just had this question in my evidence class! Too funny. I’m going to say the same answer that I put in evidence, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that has read my follow fridays. I would love to be Hermione (though I might not pick Ron) or Sookie… Read more »

Tell us a bit about it and why you keep revisiting it. Well, I’m sure this is going to be a very popular answer but I can’t seem to get around picking it this time around. You all know what I’m going to say for my first choice- Harry Potter. I have… Read more »

She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality? Wow, I have a lot of them! I think it would be awesome to make the land of The Tenth Kingdom by Kathryn Wesley come to life. That would be so cool! There are fairy tale lands and castles and tons of magical creatures… Read more »

If so, which one? This is an easy one- NO! I have never rooted for the villain. I have liked characters that were supposed to be “bad” and then turned out to be good. Like Hades in the Goddess Test. But a flat out villain, nope! I’ve never been on their… Read more »

If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what? This is tough for me, most of the changes I would make have to do with simply not ending the series, or with cliffhangers. There are a bunch of books in the middle of series that I hated the ending of, but they mostly got… Read more »
