{Top Ten Tuesday} My Fall TBR

TOP TEN TWELVE TUESDAY: BOOKS ON MY FALL TBR ——————————- Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. For more details, and to participate, click the link above. ——————————- There are so many fall releases that I am dying to read, but for this top ten tuesday I am going to do a mixture of new books and books/series that have been sitting patiently on my TBR. Be sure to let me know what books are top of your fall TBR list! But because my TBR has gotten so out of control (thanks to Bookstagram and Bookoutlet) I could only narrow this down to my top 12 books. And you will notice a theme…I am so in love with fantasy at the moment! I am craving it! (Click on any of the books for more information or to buy a copy)             What books are on the top of your fall TBR?  Do you see any of your favorites up here? Discussion: What Does Reading Mean to You? The Reader explores a world without reading. What would it mean to you to live in a world without books? Oh my gosh! A world without books sounds terrifying to me. Seriously, it sounds like the start of a horror novel (or film). Reading means everything to me. Reading is my career (there is so, so much reading in the legal profession), my hobby, my love and my joy. I would be lost without books. A world without books is a world that I want no part of. It would be my version of H-E-double hockey sticks. Books offer an escape for me. They can cheer me up when I am looking for a smile. Make me feel all kinds of warm fuzzies. Give me a good cry when I need one. And most importantly, they can transport me to a different world within their pages. I get to become best friends (or heated enemies) with the characters, and I get to explore… Read more »

{Discussion+Giveaway} Book Blogger Reputation

{Discussion+Giveaway} Book Blogger Reputation

In a world where metal and magic clash with deadly consequences, Amani finds herself becoming a myth in the making, legendary for her sharp-shooting skills, more gunpowder than girl. So, inspired by Amani’s legendary skills and growing reputation, I have been tasked with giving myself my own reputation in the Book Blogger world, highlighting skills, behaviors, designs, or habits that you would be famous for in the blogosphere. Normally, reputations comes from other people, so I am going to share what I think I would be known for. (if I am even known at all?? haha) and then I want you guys to tell me what you think my reputation actually is. Or what you think yours would be. Or make your own post and link me to it! I think that would be a lot of fun. I think my book blogger reputation is… The Blogger that reads ALL THE BOOKS! AKA The Speed Reader If I had to pull the most reoccurring comment that I get (other than… Read more »

Giveaway Spotlight & BookBriefs Obsessions!

Giveaway Spotlight & BookBriefs Obsessions!

My first post (found here) got such a good reception that I decided to do it again. I’m not sure how frequently I will do these, but they will just be a random collection of things that I am currently obsessed with. Instagram I am totally loving my instagrams. Yes, I said it plural on purpose. My original Instagram is @Chelle2006, and that was just my personal dog pictures and trips account. But then I started added book and blog pictures to it. But then! Then, I decided that 2016 would be a new organizational year for me, and I made a new account to document my planner and organization goals/adventure. (I don’t want to use the word journey…that irks me) So now I have two, and to complicate things even more, I wanted to grab my blog name, in case someone else came and took it. So my second instagram is @BookBriefs. I think I will eventually (like January/February) move my bookish posts over to that instagram because of… Read more »

{Mini Review+Discussion} Books you Feel Meh About

{Mini Review+Discussion} Books you Feel Meh About

Fevered Souls Book 2 is a bind up of episode numbers 4, 5, and 6 in the Fevered Souls serial by S.K. Falls. I read, and mostly, enjoyed book 1 (which was a bind up of episodes 1-3) about 2 years ago on my blog. (review here) I liked the first volume well enough, but I wasn’t over the moon excited about it and as I recall the characters grated on my nerves, which is why I put off reading the second book for so long. I liked the second book, but I didn’t love it. In fact, I was kind of meh about the whole thing. Each serial reads pretty quickly, and has a dramatic vampire/demon soap opera feel to it. The episode read quick and have a flair for the dramatic, as well as a healthy dose of romance. The characters stayed largely the same from the first three episodes. It kind of felt like I was watching a later season of a show that has tons… Read more »

And really the title should more about finding a system that works for your. Because everyone has the same amount of time. You can’t manage time. You can only manage yourself. And in order to manage yourself, to be at your most productive and effective, and happiest, you have to find your sweet spot. Also known as balance.  Find Your Balance The thing you have to remember is that balance is different for everyone. You have to find what works for you.  There is no right way to blog.
