Paranormalcy
Summary (from Goodreads)
Weird as it is working for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, Evie’s always thought of herself as normal. Sure, her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours, but still. Normal.

Only now paranormals are dying, and Evie’s dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She soon realizes that there may be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, but she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

My Review:

I just wrote my whole review for this book, and went to save it and lost the whole thing! Not cool! Ok, I guess I will try again.

This book was fantastic! I seriously loved Paranormalcy! Everything was so well developed- the storyline, the characters/creatures, and the mystery. All of it was just incredible. It was such a joy to read. I really connected with Evie and I loved her instantly. I would be great friends with her, I just know it. She is so funny and spunky, and most of all she is strong. I do love a good, strong female lead. Evie is pretty awesome. Period. Plus the mystery surrounding her is pretty intriguing. I loved reading about it.

And speaking of awesome characters, I loved Lend as well. He was really interesting and extra adorable whenever Evie was around. I loved their interactions. I was rooting for them the whole time. They are just so darn cute whenever they are together. I love the vulnerability that Lend shows when he is around Evie. I want to see so much more of them in the next book, I can’t wait!!

I also loved the variety of “paranormals” that were depicted in this story. There was really something for everyone! I loved reading about all the creatures and it was refreshing to see vampires shown in not a very nice light. That is pretty different than other books I have been reading. I know alot of people have really Liked Reth, but he just did not win me over. I have not read too many Fey books. In fact, this is only my second encounter with them and I have to say I liked Keenan from Wicked Lovely, much better. Reth did earn some brownie points with me towards the end, so I don’t know. We will see what he does in the next book; I think I will reserve my judgment until then.

Amazing, wonderful, and all around great book. I need to read the second one ASAP! I can’t get enough of Evie and her paranormal world! Love it!!

Well, this was not as good as my first review. I’m sorry for that.

5/5 Gavels!
