{Review+Giveaway} LITTLE BLACK DRESSES, LITTLE WHITE LIES by @LauraStampler

LITTLE BLACK DRESSES, LITTLE WHITE LIES by Laura Stampler is a young adult chick lit book. Technically, it is a contemporary romance, however the whole thing had a very chick lit (ex: Shopaholic series, Devil wears Prada, etc.) feel to it, and I loved that about it. It made the whole thing feel like a fun young adventure. If you are looking for a girl about town, young adult novel that will have you smiling, LITTLE BLACK DRESSES, LITTLE WHITE LIES is the book for you. LITTLE BLACK DRESSES, LITTLE WHITE LIES is about Harper, a young lady who joins her aunt in New York City for a big time summer internship at a magazine. This aspect of the story reminded me a lot of the tv show, The Hills (and that spin off show that Whitney got when she moved to New York.) I think this book would be perfect for fans of those shows. Although I do have to say the girls are a lot less catty and awful… Read more »

{ARC Review} Working It by @LeahMarieBrown @lyricalpress @KensingtonBooks

{ARC Review} Working It by @LeahMarieBrown @lyricalpress @KensingtonBooks

Working It is the third book in the It Girl series by by Leah Marie Brown. The It Girl Series are all adult romantic comedies, and each one can be read as a standalone. Working It is the first book that I have had the opportunity to read, but now that I have seen Vivia so much from this book, I am dying to read her story. She seems awesome! I enjoyed how witty and fun Working It was. It was the perfect mix of humor, chick lit, friendship and romance. Fanny is a very posh, and some might say a bit of a B, lady who loses her job at a top fashion house and finds herself a little lost. She ends up at a non-profit in the middle of Alaska teaching a class. Working It is really a journey of self discovery for Fanny. I loved that she has such great friends. The friendships in this book made me smile almost as much as the romance did. I… Read more »

{Review} @Finding_Fraser by @KCDyer @BerkleyRomance

Finding Fraser is an adult romantic comedy by author K.C. Dyer. This book is a hoot and a half. It is a mad hat journey of an almost 30 year old that feels her life spiraling out of control after a bad marriage/divorce, and work situation. She decides that the answer to all of her troubles is to find a real life version of her favorite book boyfriend, Jamie Fraser. Come on, who among us has not fantasized about our favorite book boyfriend becoming real. And sweeps us off our feet. If you say you haven’t thought about that, I am going to boldly suggest that you are a liar-liar pants on fire. Jamie Fraser is the main romantic interest in Diana Gabaldon’s OUTLANDER series. I myself have never read the Outlander series, but people are saying this is a must read for Outlander and Jamie fans. I can’t speak to that, since I have not yet read the series, but I will say this. Finding Fraser was one heck… Read more »
