Follow Friday (2)

June 24, 2011 blog hop, follow friday 9

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View. I love her blog!

If you are new to the #FF fun, Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name on Parajunkee’s site, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to Parajunkee, and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

ok now for the question!

Q. In light of the Summer Solstice. Also known as Midsummer…let’s talk about fairies. What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?

Ok, well this is not my strong suit. I have not read many fae stories. I really need to get the Iron King(I have the Iron queen and the iron daughter) because I have heard that is an awesome series.

As of right now, I have only read three YA books/series that even have fae in them. They are Wicked Lovely(only the first book), Paranormalcy, and The Mortal Instruments series.

I did not like Reth from Paranormalcy, and the Mortal Instruments only had fae as a background character so I am going to have to pick the Wicked Lovely series by default.

But I would like for you guys to comment and give me some good fae story recommendations, so that I can fall in love with them.

Thanks and happy Friday!

I loved the Wicked Lovely series! I still need to read the 4th book though! I also need to read the Iron King. Been waiting a long time to get it.

I’m not an expert on fairy books by any means, but I’d recommend Charles de Lint’s books.

In any case… I’m just visiting from Parajunkee. I’m following you now.

Hopping through. I’m a huge Mortal Instruments fan. I also think Paranormalcy is a paranormal gem – different from everything else.
