Also in this series: The Summer Before ForeverThe second Jenna Quigley turns eighteen, she’s headed to L.A. to extend the timer on her fifteen minutes of fame. Too bad her dad made her promise to graduate high school first. Silver lining? Her new school has a serious talent competition with a $25,000 cash prize, which would go a long way in L.A. Jenna’s got plenty of talent—she didn’t almost win America’s Newest Sensation for nothing. But it’ll take everything she’s got to bring down the music nerd with a stick up his butt…no matter how cute he is in those glasses.
Miles Cleveland needs to win that talent contest. When some hot girl stole his audition spot on America’s Newest Sensation, his chance to study music flounced off to New York with her. Now, not only can he win enough money to pay for his education, he can get revenge on that very same girl. He can’t start to question his plan, though…no matter how deep Jenna buries into his heart.
Happy monday everyone! Today is the release day of Falling For Forever and I enjoyed this book (and series) so much that I wanted to plan something special to celebrate it. Today I have a review of Falling For Forever, but come back throughout the week and I will have intrviews with the author Melissa, giveaways and reviews of the other books, along with some instagram fun and lots of other fun things.
Let’s kick today off with a review and giveaway of Falling for Forever!
Falling for Forever is the second book in the before forever series by author Melissa Chambers. The books are all interconnected standalones. I have read and really enjoyed both of the books in the series, but I will be reviewing them out of order because I wanted this review to go up on release day. You don’t need to read these books in order to be able to understand and enjoy them. Fans of the Creative HeARTs series, like myself, will really enjoy the Before Forever series.
Falling For Forever is the story of Jenna and Miles. Jenna is 18 and has always wanted to be a singer, so when a major talent competition happens she knows that she needs to compete in it. This could be her big shot. I loved how confident in her abilities Jenna is. Sometimes she can rub people the wrong way, but I liked her. She felt very realistic to me. So did her whole gang of friends. We got to see both old and new faces in this story, and you all know that I am a sucker for a story featuring a group of friends. I just love them. I love that when they are well done there are a whole bunch of different dynamics at play-lots of different personalities, and that is exactly the case in Falling For Forever.
I really enjoyed Miles. I think he might have been my favorite character in the whole story. I loved seeing each of the different competitors reasons for competing. I love talent shows. I watch all of them that you can think of -America’s got Talent, the Voice, World of Dance, etc.. I just eat them up! Falling For Forever had everything that I love in young adult contemporaries. It had romance, it had drama and it had a great world. I can’t wait to see what this series is going to bring us next. If you are a fan of talent shows, you will love Falling For Forever. The music elements in this story were just as strong as the romance, which I loved. This was a great summer read for me.

Awesome review & great giveaway! Thanks for sharing 🙂
If I had to choose a song to perform in a competition, I’d sing Mercy by Shawn Mendes.
Sounds like a great read.
I cannot sing at all but if I had to choice it would be Think of Me fromThe Phantom of the Opera
I can’t sing but a QUEEN song probably.
It would be Shatter Me series by Mafi. Love Juliette and Aaron as a couple.
Great review I can’t wait to read the book.
I would probably sing The Only Exception or Some Nights!
I loved the first book my 5 star review: http://crushingcinders.com/summer-before-forever
