Series: Crave #2
Genres: Young Adult, Paranormal, Romance
Source: Finished Hardcover from Publisher
Also in this series: CraveEverything feels off—especially me. I’ve returned to Katmere Academy, but I’m haunted by fragments of days I have no recollection of living and struggling to understand who, or what, I really am.
Just when I start to feel safe again, Hudson is back with a vengeance. He insists there are secrets I don’t know about, threatening to drive a wedge between Jaxon and me forever. But far worse enemies are at our doorstep.
The Circle is caught in a power play and the Vampire Court is trying to drag me out of my world and into theirs. The only thing Hudson and Jaxon agree on is that leaving Katmere would mean my certain death.
And not only am I fighting for my life, but now everyone else’s is at stake—unless we can defeat an unspeakable evil. All I know is that saving the people I love is going to require sacrifice.
Maybe more than I’m able to give.
The Crave series is best enjoyed in order.

Crush is the second book in the Crave series by author Tracy Wolff. The Crave series is a young adult paranormal romance series that is so amazing. The first book, Crave was one of my favorite reads of 2020! Crave is my favorite vampire book of all time. It is what I want all of my other paranormal romances to be like. I didn’t think it was possible but Crush made me fall even more in love. There will be some spoilers in this review because I need to talk about something that happened to me while reading that is something I never would have predicted. I will give a spoiler alert but, man of man did Tracy Wolff capture my heart with Crush even more than I thought imaginable. If you are a fan of young adult paranormal romances, this is a MUST READ series. Must read!
Crush picks up four months after the event of book one, and we are back at Katmere Academy when Grace shows back up at school, having no memory of where she has been for the last four months. View Spoiler » If you recall my review of Crave, you will remember that I loved how romantic the book was. I loved the romance between Grace and Jaxon. I was such a huge Jaxon fangirl and I was super excited to get back to that romantic vibe that I loved from the first book. But when Grace returns to Katmere in Crush, we soon learn that maybe Hudson isn’t as gone as we though he was. He is trapped in Grace’s head because of the events of the climax of book 1. Getting him out of her head and defeating him becomes the main focus of the this story, but the story itself evolves into so much more.
I don’t know that I can adequately sum up my feelings that Crush made me feel. I think it is spoiler time because I need to chat to you guys about the magic spell that Tracy Wolff cast on me. View Spoiler »
If you are new to the series and don’t want to see the spoiler, I will just say this about the romance. Tracy Wolff messed with my mind in ways I didn’t even think was possible and she made me love every second of it! I think she has some of Hudson’s mind control/persuasion ability. I don’t want to say anything further about the plot because it is full of so many secrets, twists and turns. Tracy Wolff does a fantastic job not only progressing the plot of this novel with this new quest for our favorite characters, but also tying it in with the bigger world politics. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in books 3 and 4. Just like in the first book, the ending of this book knocked me flat on my butt as well! I loved it so much, and I also loved seeing some male POV chapters at the end of the story. They ripped my heart clean out of my chest! I would love to see a mixed point of view in the next few books scattered throughout. I also love how long each of these books are, and yet they never seem to be long enough. I hope the last book is 1,000 pages!
If you are a fan of paranormal romance (even if you are totally over vampire stories) or you are a fan of boarding school settings, you need to read the Crave series. I think it will be your new favorite series. It certainly is a favorite of mine. I love these books so much! Crush exceeded all of my expectations, and I so excited to dive into Covet right now!
