This spinoff of The Replacement Crush featuring Amy and Toff is sure to melt your heart.

Shy bookworm Amy McIntyre is about to compete for the chance to interview her favorite author, who hasn't spoken to the press in years. The only way to win is to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight, but that level of confidence has never come easy.

The solution? A competition coach. The problem? The best person for the job is the guy she's secretly crushing on…local surfer celebrity Toff Nichols.

He’s a player. He’s a heartthrob. He makes her forget basic things, like how to breathe. How can she feel any confidence around him?

To her surprise, Toff agrees to help. And he’s an excellent teacher. Amy feels braver—maybe even brave enough to admit her feelings for him. When their late night practices become less about coaching and more about making out, Amy’s newfound confidence wavers.

But does Toff really like her or is this just another lesson?

My Thoughts

The Bookworm Crush is a young adult contemporary romance by Lisa Brown Roberts. The Bookworm Crush is a spinoff of The Replacement Crush, which is another story that I absolutely loved! The Bookworm Crush feels like a book that was written specifically for me. It is made up of everything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy and happy. I love a book featuring a bookworm, and I love an adorable sweet romance. Lisa Brown Roberts knows how to write books that deliver everything that the reader is looking for and more. She has easily become one of my top auto-buy authors. I love everything she writes!

If you are a fan of The Replacement Crush, you will remember Viv’s best friend Amy.  And Viv’s ultimate Boyfriends’s best friend, Toff! The Bookworm Crush is Amy and Toff’s story, and I was super excited to read it! Amy is sweet and a just a bit shy. But Amy has a goal in mind! She really, really, really wants to win an instagram contest to meet her favorite author! And she needs help upping her confidence so she can pull off the three challenges and have her posts catch the eye of her author’s publisher. Enter Toff, who has extra swagger for days. Toff may be just the answer to Amy’s lack of confidence. Watching Amy and Toff together gave me a major case of perma-smile! I just loved the two of them. I loved their joking banter. I loved that everyone on the internet was “shipping” them. I loved all the booknerd jargon that Lisa threw in. I just loved everything about this story.

If you are looking for a fun read, with plenty of banter, swoons, smiles and awe-ing, you have to read The Bookworm Crush. All of my fellow bookworms out there will feel like Lisa Brown Roberts wrote it just for them! This book was everything I wanted it to be and more. It is a book that I will be re-reading whenever I am in need of a smile, or to bring me out of a book slump. It is holy grail status cute romance. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you are a fan o f young adult contemporary romances, The Bookworm Crush is a must read!

About Lisa Brown Roberts

Lisa Brown Roberts still hasn’t recovered from the teenage trauma of nearly tweezing off her eyebrows and penciling them in for an entire school year. This and other painful memories inspire her to write books in which girls big on wit and heart earn happy endings with swoony guys…eventually.
Her almost forever home is Colorado, though she occasionally pines for the days when she lived within walking distance of the Pacific Ocean. Her house is full of books, boys, four-legged prima donnas, and lots of laughter.
