He wanted her the first time he saw her. It didn't matter that he was on stage in front of a room full of reporters, or that his publicist was telling him to move on, or that she was asking him a question about racing. One look at her "just been bedded" hair — completely at odds with her deliciously prim appearance — and Ty Riggs is hooked.
Corrine Bellows is one of the woefully few women in a male profession: sports reporting. In a field where "Hey, sweetheart, can you fetch me a cup of copy" is part of her job description, she's determined to keep things professional. And while interviewing Ty Riggs, the hottest new driver on and off the track, is a major scoop, Corrine knows that she is in major trouble when it becomes clear that Ty wants so much more and is determined to get it. As things heat up between them, Corrine finds herself on shakier ground. Her big secret just may destroy everything.

A reporter looking for a big break gets involved with a race car driver with a secret that could destroy his entire team if they find out.
Crossing the Line is the third book in the adult (though it felt more like New Adult to me) Hard Driving series by Audra North. Audra is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I absolutely LOVED Pushing Her Luck and now I have really loved Crossing The Line as well. This is the first book that I have read from the Hard Driving series, and now I want to race out (ha- see what I did there.) and get the first two books in the series. Crossing the Line is the final book in the series, and each one of them can be read as a standalone.
Crossing the Line is the story of an up and coming journalist that is trying her hardest to make a name for herself, and a racing driver that is trying his hardest to create a positive image for himself in the racing community. I loved that each one of them was trying to prove themselves. Ty and Cori are awesome together, although I do have to say Cori made me a nail biting mess a bunch of times in the book. Because the story is told in dual narrative, we know what she is doing the whole time and I could feel her apprehension sinking into me as I read. I just wanted to scream no! and don’t do it.
Crossing The Line is a book that will appeal to both fans of New Adult as well as Adult contemporary romances. I don’t often get the opportunity to read a book featuring a race car driver, and I have to saw I loved it. I want more! So send me your recs! Ty is the sweetest guy. I was rooting for him since page one. I thought it was completely adorable how taken he was with Cori from the moment he first laid eyes on her.
Bottom line: If you like your romances with a healthy dose of sweetness (and spice) with lots of moments that will make you sigh and smile, Crossing the Line is a great book for you. And if you are a fan of racing, you have to check this book out. It’s great!
