I live with a pack of misfit shifters.

Freaks. Rogues. Oddballs. Prey. Runts. Deformed. We're all welcome in Pack Aberrant.

We aren't going to be winning any popularity contests, but our hodgepodge bunch is more loyal than even the strongest pred packs. I should know. I grew up in one of them. As soon as they realized I was different, I was despised, even by my own family.

So I left, joined Pack Aberrant, and I've steered clear of alpha pred assholes ever since. Until my heatwave hits, and I accidentally jump three coyote shifters in a parking lot. Whoopsie.

Once they realize what my animal is, they're gonna kick me to the curb just like every other pred shifter has. And my old pack? They come back to haunt me.

I'm unwanted by the three hotties, threatened by my old pack, and to top it all off, I have to find a new job because I attacked a bank robber. Accidentally.

Being a misfit really sucks sometimes.

Author's Note: This was originally released as a short story in the Shifting Destiny anthology. It has now been expanded into a full-length novel. Puns still included.

Addie's story is book one in the Pack of Misfits series. Every book will be a standalone for that character, but a continuation of the Pack Aberrant story. Book one is a reverse harem with multiple love interests with the main character. However, this is NOT a reverse harem series. Some main characters in this series will have monogamous relationships.

*This is intended for ages 18 and older due to sexual content and strong language.

Note: This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

My Thoughts

Addie is the first book in the pack of misfits series by the awesome Raven Kennedy. I first read pack of misfits when it was a novella as part of a bind up of other books featuring shifters. It was my favorite novella in the whole anthology, and I really loved meeting Addie. Her and her guys are ducking hilarious 😉 Now, Raven Kennedy has expanded the story into a full length novel, but it is a standalone story for Addie and her guys.

Addie is a prey shifter, and is a member of Pack Aberrant, also known as the pack of misfits. I love how feisty Addie is and the connection she has with the three coyote shifters she meets. The full length novel had all of the parts of the novella that I loved, but it also expanded on the characters from pack Aberrant, which makes sense because the other books in the series will each feature a different pack member and their story.

The plot of Addie was also well done. Even though Addie is Prey Shifter, she was born into a very vicious predator pack, which rejected her right from birth. As a result, she is very wary of predator shifters. Honestly, my favorite part of the story is the fact that we got to see so many different varieties of shifters. I have read a lot of shifter books, and more often than not you see wolves, bears, drgaons, and different types of cat shifters, but not much else. Here, we got to see a little bit of everything, which was so cool and refreshing.

Addie is a reverse harem romance, but not all of the books in the Pack of Misfits series will be. This was a fun read. It has all of the humor I love from Raven’s other series, The Hearts Hassle series. If you like humor filled reverse harems and shifter romance, this is a great book for you to check out. But Hearts Hassle is still my favorite. If you have not read that series yet, YOU NEED TO!

About Raven Kennedy

Raven Kennedy likes writing and reading and chocolate-bar-eating. Dark chocolate. Get out of here with that other stuff. She also likes to take long walks on the beach. Not really. She lives in the desert. The only water there is the wavy stuff that comes with a mirage. But I’m sure if there was a beach nearby, she’d walk then. Probably. Maybe. Her first book is Signs of Cupidity, the first of a series. She hopes you enjoy it! More books will be released soon!
