{Event Kickoff+Giveaway} Scholastic’s #IReadYA week

Scholastic’s #IReadYA Week Hey everyone, it’s time once again to celebrate #IReadYA week! Scholastic’s #IReadYA week is a celebration of all things YA, running from May 18-22!  In support of this week, Scholastic will be holding daily challenges beginning today and running through Friday the 22nd. These daily challenges are a lot of fun, and range from describing a YA book only using words that start with the same letter (e.g. Harry helps Hogwarts, hefting horcruxes), to sharing YA reaction videos/memes. Also, some of your favorite YA authors will be participating right alongside you with impromptu Twitter chats, Tumblr posts and more. {Interview+Giveaway} Bloomsbury Spark’s Six Month Sparkiversary!

{Interview+Giveaway} Bloomsbury Spark’s Six Month Sparkiversary!

Welcome to Bloomsbury Spark’s Six Month Sparkiversary! Bloomsbury Spark is a one-of-a-kind, global, digital imprint from Bloomsbury Publishing dedicated to publishing a wide array of exciting fiction eBooks to teen, YA, and new adult readers. Today I have an interview with some of bloomsbury Spark authors as well as a giveaway for a kindle preloaded with 12 Bloomsbury Spark titles!  Cool, right? What has been your best experience since the release of your book? Ashley Poston: Definitely all the support on Twitter and Facebook! I never thought I’d have so many people out of the blue just tweeting me to tell me how much they loved my story! It means a lot to me. I think every author has one story that’s their “baby” and mine is The Sound of Us. While it’s a very funny, very light-hearted YA/NA crossover (think Fangirl), its tackles some heavy-hitting stuff that’s pretty personal to me. And it’s surreal and wonderful and thrilling to read how much other people enjoyed it! Caroline Dunford: I loved seeing the face… Read more »

{Guest Post+Sale Alerts+Giveaway} Books by Authors Eliza Gordon & Megan Smith

{Guest Post+Sale Alerts+Giveaway} Books by Authors Eliza Gordon & Megan Smith

I LOVED Must Love Otters, so I wanted to take the chance to share this guest post with you and let you guys know that the book is only 99 cents TODAY!!  Check amazon too, because a lot of the time they will match nook prices! This book is so cute and totally worth it. You can check out what I thought of Must Love Otters HERE Guest Post by author Eliza Gordon When you sit down to read Must Love Otters, I’ll bet you aren’t expecting to learn something along the way. I’m not a writer who seeks to hide secret messages in the material. Readers are smarter than that. The savvy writer works to infuse meaning and subtlety in their words without smacking folks over the head with an unspoken agenda. But a book isn’t a success unless the reader, who grants the writer the privilege of time, walks away with something. And with this book, I wanted that something to be more than a smiling face… Read more »

Update on my life

Update on my life

Hey everyone, Normally I don’t do these type of updates but I just wanted to fill you in on what has been going on recently. I’m in my second year of law school and im also juggling a 20+ hour a week internship/job as a law clerk for judges at circuit court, as well as a research assistant job for a professor at my school. Plus all of my blog stuff, I have been swamped lately. I have cut way back on review books and I was managing to get by but then my grandma got sick and passed away a few weeks ago. This was really hard for me. I have been trying my best to keep up with all my blog tours and review commitments but that has been all I’ve been able to do. My other posts and my own books have been pushed to the side for the time being. I’ve told a few bloggers about my grandma and everyone has been super nice. This is… Read more »

Yay me 🙂  I declare that the read-a-thon was a success! And what’s more I absolutely loved most of the books that I read! The Faerie Ring, Bridger, Remembrance and A beautiful Dark ALL get 5 gavels from me! That is more 5 gavel books than I have read in a long time- such a great book roll! … Read more »
