Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? This has been a very long week. I had some work functions that I needed to go to on Thursday and Friday so I had two 14 hour work days in a row. So I have really been looking forward to this weekend. Lots of relaxing and cleaning and errand running yesterday and today I am just relaxing. Reading and watching tv and trying to stretch the day out before the the work week starts up again. Great books in the mail this week and I have an awesome giveaway going on right now where 2 SIGNED copies of Black Iris and 1 copy of City Love is up for grabs. You can enter HERE May also means the start of two blog events. I am participating in Clean Sweep ARC and Blog ahead. I am trying to get ahead on my blog posts… Read more »

{Weekly Wrap Up} Week of April 5-12th

Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? This week feels like just another week for me. I did a little work on my office library and I found a great wall vinyl for one of the shorts walls. I am looking for more, but I would love to buy them through amazon or at least a site where I can get free shipping. If anyone knows of any place to find other bookish quote for my library let me know! I am excited to get my final bookcases built so I can show you all my library. For now you get a sneak peak with one of the wall quotes. Last week was also my 4 year Blogoversary! And I have an awesome giveaway up on the blog to celebrate, so I hope you will check that out. Books I got this week: *Thank you so much to Balzer + Bray,… Read more »

{Weekly Wrap Up} Week of March 1-8th #TakeControlTBR

Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? This week on the blog was like a celebration week for no particular reason! I have had so many awesome books and giveaways up on the blog, including a giveaway where you can win any book you want if you are lucky. 😉 But I also had 3 five star reviews and I was quoted 2 books! I have never had that many 5 star reviews in one week or been quoted in that many books. I am still a little starry eyed. My friend and I had a great time at Harry Potter world last weekend. I can never get over the magic in that place. The attention to detail that Universal Studios put into every little thing is incredible. And Diagon Alley is so big and so tall that you could easily spend an entire day in and not discover everything. Especially with… Read more »

{Weekly Wrap Up} Week of Feb. 15-21st

Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? It has been forever since I have done a sunday post. Mostly because I have been so super busy lately, that I have not been keeping a good enough track of where all my books are coming from. I have been behind on my emails, behind on the mail. Behind on everything really. (which reminds me, I am making a post office run next week. So prize winners from my site- your prizes will be mailed out!) So what has changed? I found THIS BLOG and started to want to do a better job with organization and time management. So I got a few new web apps and phone apps that I can use to help automate some of my blogging processes. I am still testing them out and learning them, but I already have a whole series of posts in the works for… Read more »

{Weekly Wrap up} Week of July 6-12

Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? Mine has been good. I finally got an interview at an estate planning firm! I am super excited for it. It is next week so keep your fingers crossed for me 😉 Other than that, things have been business as normal here. I have noticed that a lot of my email subscriptions to blogs are not coming through, so I will be visiting some of my regular blogs and re-subscribing with a different email. If I haven’t been around your blog, that is probably why. (I visit 85% of the time through my emails) Book wise this week was huge. Mostly due to some surprise packages coming in the mail from Candlewick, with tons of books. I knew they were going to send Evil Librarian but I didn’t realize they were going to give me all sorts of goodies. I can’t wait to start… Read more »

{Update} I moved to wordpress!

I finally did it! I finally took the plunge and moved to WordPress. I bought my own domain, and started hosting on Ashley @ Creative Whim’s new Book Host server. It was a deal that I couldn’t pass up. You get access to all of her themes (like Tweak Me) AND the Ultimate Book Blogger Plugin!! For no extra cost! How awesome is that? Plus she responds to emails at lightning speed and is super helpful. You can check out Book Host here And the first 30 people get free migration from blogger to wordpress! Super easy. All but 1 post and 5 comments made it over for me. You can see my new blog at http://bookbriefs.net I am still working on some design stuff but wordpress is all very new to me so anyone that really knows all this stuff let me know, I might have some questions for you! If you have any good plugins/tips/tutorials that you have used send them my way! I will love you forever… Read more »

Update on my life

Update on my life

Hey everyone, Normally I don’t do these type of updates but I just wanted to fill you in on what has been going on recently. I’m in my second year of law school and im also juggling a 20+ hour a week internship/job as a law clerk for judges at circuit court, as well as a research assistant job for a professor at my school. Plus all of my blog stuff, I have been swamped lately. I have cut way back on review books and I was managing to get by but then my grandma got sick and passed away a few weeks ago. This was really hard for me. I have been trying my best to keep up with all my blog tours and review commitments but that has been all I’ve been able to do. My other posts and my own books have been pushed to the side for the time being. I’ve told a few bloggers about my grandma and everyone has been super nice. This is… Read more »
