Running, coffee, and New York City: Nora feels like she’s got it all. But when this barista meets Kingston, a handsome Texan, she realizes the one thing she’s been missing is love.

Kingston doesn’t want to admit that he’s looking for a fairy tale, but he never thought he’d fall for two women. But what he doesn’t know about his running buddy and the pretty barista might surprise him.

MIDNIGHT RUN is the first book in the Once Upon a Desire series.

NA Review My Thoughts

Midnight Run is the first book in the new adult series, called Once Upon A Desire. Midnight Run is a clean new adult book, and it is a quick, light and cute read. Perfect for when you want to zone out for a couple of hours and read a one sitting book that will make you smile. Especially if you like your romance a little on the cheesy side, this is a great one for you. And the second book in the Once Upon a Desire series just came out this week, so you can get your next fix asap.

Midnight Run is the story of Kingston and Nora. They each join a midnight running club, and because it is dark out Kingston doesn’t realize that Nora is the barista that he has a crush on. A little crazy when you think about it, but it was totally cute for the story.

Midnight Run was a little short for my liking, but it was full of great characters. I really enjoyed Nora’s roommate and Kingston was adorable. There were also a few characters that I loved to hate as well. I know most people probably hate Laurel the most, and while I do wish we got to the bottom of why she was the way she was, she wasn’t my least favorite. I couldn’t stand Nora’s boss. I would think that he would have a better idea of who his employees were. It just really bugged me how he reacted a few times in the story.

I loved the idea of the midnight run club, and if I wasn’t such a chicken, I would totally join a group like that in my city. I can’t wait for Amy’s story, which is next up in the Once Upon A Desire Series. These books are good for when you are looking for a long novella length story for a quick romance fix.
