{Monthly Wrap Up} Month of August 2015

Sunday Post is Hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves is Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews Hey guys! How has your week been? Where the heck has August gone? I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it is almost September. Things have seemed particularly busy lately, so I am always moving on to the next thing. It’s all good stuff so I can’t complain, but it is a lot. haha I am looking forward to the end of September when I will hopefully be able to relax a bit. I am also looking for some good September Instagram challenges. So please let me know which one(s) I should join.  I am still trying to figure out the challenge part of instagram. {ARC Review} The Chapel Wars by Lindsey Leavitt

{ARC Review} The Chapel Wars by Lindsey Leavitt

I expected this book to be a fun cute read. And it was, but it was also more than that. This really was a coming of age story for Holly. She is a true numbers girl as Dax called her. She is outwardly emotionless- analytical, logical and a “fixer”. The Chapel Wars is about Holly finding out what she wants, who she is and about finding her emotions really. She is only 17 but she takes on so much responsibility that it is really easy to overlook her young age. I enjoyed Holly immensely. I adored her analogies and see how she explained things. Lindsey Leavitt did such a great job with the writing of this book. It felt very conversational and welcoming. Holly seemed like a friend of mine, and her story felt like we were catching up over coffee. Just like her grandfather said, you can’t help but like Holly. She is like a breath of fresh air, swooping into every room. She has so much energy, she is… Read more »

{Challenge} Review Copy Cleanup

{Challenge} Review Copy Cleanup

Even though I have cut way back on what books I accept for review, I still seem to have a never ending pile of books to read. I love reading review books for authors but I also want to read some of my own books, and I hate feeling overwhelmed with deadlines. I want my blog to be fun, so I started a project to give authors a list of bloggers that are currently accepting review books. If you would like to be added to that list, you can see my post and sign up HERE. But this event is to try and help get my review TBR pile under control. So count me in!! 🙂  Instead of listing my books before the challenge starts I will list them as I read them. I have lots of blog tours coming up and review books that are overdue, so I will tackle those first. Then I will read the ones that have no “due date” attached to them.  Here is a… Read more »
