{Interview} Author Christine Fonseca

{Interview} Author Christine Fonseca

Today I have a fun interview with author of the Requiem series! Be sure to check back in to my blog, because my review of LACRIMOSA is coming up next! 🙂 Thank you so much for being here Christine! 1. Describe Lacrimosa in a tweet. (140characters or less) – Take an emotional ride with Nesy and Aydan as they sacrifice everything for love in this Romeo and Juliet tale of angels and demons2. What do you think is the hardest part of writing a series? For me it is getting that balance between making each book stand alone and being overly repetitive regarding backstory—such a hard balance to achieve. And yet, I really wanted this to be a series, not companion stories with overlapping characters. You guys will have to tell me if I have managed to achieve my goals when the next novel is released in the fall.3. Some of the first two books are pretty dark. Do you think it is easier to write happy characters or dark… Read more »

{Guest Post+G!veaway} Dies Irae by Christine Fonseca

{Guest Post+G!veaway} Dies Irae by Christine Fonseca

Today I have Christine Fonseca with us to share 10 facts about Dies Irae as well as an awesome giveaway. Thank you so much Christine! Be sure to come back tonight to check out my review of Dies Irae. Top 10 Things You Don’t Know About DIES IRAE and the Requiem Series Thanks for inviting me Michelle. I had a blast thinking about ten things readers don’t know about the series. After collaborating with my teen group a bit, I think I finally came up with something: 1. The first book written was actually the novel, LACRIMOSA. The idea for the DIES IRAE came more than a year later, though the premise for it was always in the novel. 2. After DIES IRAE was written, I had to change several things in LACRIMOSA, including reviving a character—one I had cut during the millions of rounds of edits the story had in its early stages. 3. I came up with the name Mikayel after mis-typing Michael on a million emails at work…. Read more »
