{Review} Because of Sydney by T.A. Foster @TAFosterWriter

{Review} Because of Sydney by T.A. Foster @TAFosterWriter

T.A. Foster writes great feel good romances, and Because of Sydney is no exception. Because of Sydney is a standalone new adult contemporary romance with no cliffhanger. But even though it really does stand completely on its’ own, it takes place in the same universe as her Kissing Eden series , which I absolutely loved. Because of Sydney’s main character (other than Sydney, who is new to the books) is Mason, Grey’s Uncle- who-is-really-his-age. When we last saw Mason he was dating Eden’s friend Taylor. Because of Sydney starts out with Mason completely single and very much back in his business state of mind, looking for a new land development deal. I loved that we got to see Mason’s story because you can just tell from the get go that this is a complex guy. There is a lot brewing in that head of his. And I was super excited to slip on in there and make myself comfy to watch his story. Sydney is a fresh faced college grad… Read more »

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Dare by T.A. Foster @TAFosterwriter

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Dare by T.A. Foster @TAFosterwriter

Dare is the first book in a new, new adult paranormal romance series, called The Nox. I have read, and loved, a bunch of T.A. Foster’s new adult contemporary romances, but I have never read any paranormal book from her. So I was really excited to see about the Nox. Dare is the leader of the Nox, a group of panther shifters that protect the town of Sullen Grove. I really enjoyed the concept of Dare. The nox are formed of all female panther shifters that don’t want to fulfill the destiny laid out for them by the council (the ruling body for shifters). Basically in shifter land, each female shifter is destined to a male shifter of some kind, and when they marry, or bond, the male shifter takes over their land and moves on to get his next wife. And then when the female shifter becomes pregnant with his cub, she loses all of her power to that cub. Totally not cool. Dare doesn’t want to give up… Read more »

{ARC #Review +Giveaway} A Very Grey Christmas by T.A. Foster @TAFosterwriter

{ARC #Review +Giveaway} A Very Grey Christmas by T.A. Foster @TAFosterwriter

This week is Holiday Novella week at Book Briefs. And it was unintentional. I guess it is just that time of year, and I was craving holiday novellas so much that I booked reviews of two of them for series that I have read and enjoyed, back to back. Yesterday I reviewed This Christmas by Katlyn Duncan, and in the review I talked about how the book surprised me with its’ more somber beginning. So I didn’t want to get any preconceived notions in my head before reading A Very Grey Christmas. But this book was just what I expected it to be- a fluffy, and cheesy fun holiday romantic read. I love Grey so much, as you can tell from my reviews of the first two books in the series, so I will always jump at a chance to read more about him and all his southern charm. I love any kind of holiday novella, but I think my favorite kind is getting to peek in on characters that… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Loving Eden by T.A. Foster @TAFosterauthor

{Review+Giveaway} Loving Eden by T.A. Foster @TAFosterauthor

I am so excited that Eden and Grey got another book. I loved Kissing Eden.  Grey is my favorite of T.A. Foster’s male characters, and I just can’t get enough of him. Not to mention, it is hard enough to find a sequel in new adult contemporary romances that follows the same characters. I loved that we got to go back and visit with Grey and Eden some more. The Story starts out with Eden packing up and moving across the country to move in with Grey. I was super excited to get to see the two of them back at the palm for some fun times, but things are not such smooth sailing for them. Living with a boyfriend for the first time is tough enough, but throw in an injury that makes it hard to work and a lawsuit from a long lost family member on top of that, and things can get ugly really fast. Loving Eden was a quick read that drew me in from the… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} Fly by T.A. Foster @tafosterwriter

{ARC Review+Giveaway} Fly by T.A. Foster @tafosterwriter

Fly is a short and romantic read. I didn’t think it would turn out to be as romantic as it was. I thought it would be more sexy fun, which it was but it was also surprisingly sweet. I flew through Fly very quickly. It was an instant gratification, one sitting read that will perk up your afternoon or evening. Fly is the start of a new New Adult Contemporary series from T.A. Foster. At least I think it is. The book is a standalone but we met both Bolt and Skye’s Single friends so I smell a series brewing! I normally don’t read too many military books. I have no idea why, but I just haven’t yet. Fly made me wonder what the heck I was waiting for. Skye is a strong lady. I really liked her. And I loved that Bolt saw that she was different. I loved seeing Skye at work. I wanted her to succeed so badly with the tourism and zoo campaign. There was a… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Finding Haven by T.A. Foster

{Review+Giveaway} Finding Haven by T.A. Foster

Finding Haven is a sweet and heartwarming new adult romance. It was a satisfying read. I am a big fan of T.A. Foster. I loved T.A.’s previous two book, London Falling and then loved Kissing Eden even more, so I had pretty high expectations for Finding Haven. Did it live up? Yes, but not as much as I wanted it to. Don’t get me wrong, I really, really liked Finding Haven, but Evan and Haven didn’t have the same spark that Foster’s previous couples had that I loved so much. Haven is great. She is a breath of fresh air. I loved how devoted she was to her songwriting. I appreciated that while she enjoyed the island, she wanted to get out and live a different kind of life. It was why things would never work out with her and Travis. He wanted to stay on the island. He was content with what he had. And there is no problem with that, but Haven wanted more. She is much just… Read more »
