I felt like I was right there along for the ride with Em. Em is adorable, smart, savvy, and strong. She questioned everything, which I really appreciate in paranormal books. She even made me kind of paranoid throughout the story. I wasn’t sure who to trust either. Em is a great character. Her would be love interest is Hayden. He is very much the strong and silent type. At times he was so cryptic that he started to frustrate me. But he redeemed himself more than a few times.
The storyline of Cursed will have you engaged the entire time. I could not put this book down. I devoured this book in one sitting. I loved that I was kept guessing until the very end of the book. Fans of super powers need to pick up cursed, and learn all about the “gifted”. The ending was really satisfying too. There are still questions for the next book to explore, but it ended in a great, non-cliffhanger way. Get yourself a copy of Cursed, you won’t regret it!

Cursed sounds great. I’m glad to see that Em is kind of skeptic- protagonists in paranormal books that just happily accept everything annoy me to no end!

This book sounds amazing! I love how you describe Ember–she sounds like my kind of YA heroine. And I LOVE that you say she actually is skeptical of everything going on around her, because one of my biggest pet-peeves with paranormal YA is when the main character too easily accepts events that are way too out-there to be normal. I definitely have to check this book out now. 🙂

Usually I can come up with something at least a little funny to say, but I have had a crap couple of days. We had a little 5 month old lab pup show up at our door last week, and we brought her in and cleaned her up and tried so hard to find her owners. After it became apparent that wasn’t going to happen, we started looking for a home for her. During this time, I got VERY attached to the sweet girl. VERY. Well, we ended up finding a home for her, with a 17 year old boy who had recently lost his dad. It was the best choice and he loved her right away, but my heart is officially broken. We have 3 big dogs already, so we just didn’t have the room for another big dog. But my goodness, I wish we did. I miss her. So no funny from me. Just a little blah. Thanks for the giveaway though. Very awesome of you. Next time I comment, I will have something witty to say!
