Today I have the author of The Demon Side, Heaven Liegh Eldeen, with us for an interview. Be sure to check out my review of The Demon Side later today!

Thanks for joining us Heaven Liegh Eldeen. 🙂

1. describe The Demon Side in a tweet. (140 characters or less)
Oh that’s a hard one. Okay I can do this. go, go gadget super tweet!
7 Arches, 2 Demons collide when a girl;Etta moves into the picture. An epic battle for good vs evil, love vs hate ensues w/ an unlikely hero

2. What is the hardest part about writing for you?

The hardest pat of writing for me is definitely figuring out the names for my characters. I am horrible with names. I can be creative with anything but that. Which is why I don’t have a pen name. Heck, I named my son after his father just so i didn’t have to think of what to name him.

3. What is your favorite holiday and why?

Without a doubt Halloween is my all-time favorite holiday. It is the only day of the year an adult can dress up, act a fool, gorge out on candy and no one looks at you twice. This year I went as Flo from the progressive commercials. I even had the tricked out name tag!

4. What are you reading right now and what is on your TBR pile that you can’t wait to get to?

I’m being a little naughty by reading Slave by Sherrie Hayes. It’s an erotica novella with some BDSM content. I know I’m horrible but i can’t help it. Sherrie Hayes is such a wonderful writer. Next on my TBR list is The Frank Diary of Anne by Dan Dillard 9my all-time favorite horror writer). I’ve read quite a few of his short stories and let me just warn you, they are run through the house turning on all the lights scary!

5. Do you ever model any of your characters after people you know in real life?

Oh totally. I have a shirt that says “careful or you’ll end up in one of my novels’. I even put a little of myself in my work. In The Demon Side, my two main character Rahovart and Etta are both based off of my good side and my evil side.

6. Are you a dog or cat person?

I’m more of a ferret person. It’s the perfect pet. You get the therapeutic relaxation petting it as you would a cat but the exercise and intensity of a dog all wrapped into one cute elongated body. Who doesnt lve a ferret.

Summary

Every kid has problems. Every kid has even more problems when they move to a new home. But when a kid with problems moves to a new home that has a Demon living inside it—look out!
Etta’s world is about to spin out of control when she encounters her new roommate—and Rahovart, that ancient trickster, is in for a few surprises too. So don’t mind all the crashing and rumbling; that’s just the normal noise Angels and Demons make when they’re fighting an epic war in the attic.
One thing’s for sure: Etta and Rahovart will have to go through Hell to Heaven and back again before that old Victorian home in Quantico Town finally quiets down…

 About the author:

Heaven started her writing career two years ago after being challenged by a relative to write something different than the barrage of vampire novels on the market. With her ‘Oh, Yes I can!’ attitude, determination and support from her family, she completed her first novel The Demon Side, releasing this October. When she’s not kissing owies, climbing Mount Dishmore, or obsessing over her Facebook book page, you can find her at the computer revising or editing one of her five works in progress.  Having lived in many states, she has now settled down in California with her husband, her son and a beta fish named Barry.

My review will be up in a few hours. come back and check it out. I love that saying on the shirt! Leave some questions and thoughts in the comments below 🙂
