This August critically acclaimed author Patty Blount releases her latest smoldering YA, Nothing Left to Burn. To celebrate her new release, Patty has agreed to sit down with us for a quick Q&A! If we looked under your bed right now, what would we find? You’d find the box holding my wedding gown buried under a layer of dust. What? It’s extra protection. (LOL). You’d find the fire box we keep important papers in like birth certificates and our wills and my sons’ hospital bracelets from when they were born. Right from the first page, you can tell that Nothing Left to Burn is going to be an emotionally raw and powerful story. It is told in dual narrative between Amanda and Reece. Nothing Left to Burn really got to me. I loved that the book starts out featuring the male protagonist, Reece. Reece really touched me. I felt for him so badly. If anyone needs a hug, it is Reece. {Review} Imperfections by Shaniel Watson

I knew when got this book for review that there would be some drama because one sister has been in love with a guy her whole life and when she comes home she finds out he is with her sister. But that is ok because I can stand for some tasteful fell in love with the wrong guy romance. But the summary didn’t even begin to describe the level of messed up stuff this book gets into. Holy cow, Imperfections is so drama filled. And this is coming from me- a self professed Reality TV show junkie. I love me some drama. And I was really liking Imperfections, but the further I read, the more messed up it got and then I started to not feel ok with what the characters were doing. But I still really liked Cat and Nick and I really liked them together, so I tried to put them in their own little romance bubble and ignore all the crazy stuff going on with the family… Read more »
