{Review+Giveaway} Riveted by @JayCrownover @Morrow_PB

{Review+Giveaway} Riveted by @JayCrownover @Morrow_PB

RIVETED by Jay Crownover is the third title in her Saints of Denver Series, which is a spinoff of her Marked Men Series. Riveted is a new adult contemporary romance. I have not read any of the books in either of these series, and even though each of the books can be read as standalones, i really regret not having read books 1 and 2 in the Saints of Denver Series. Because I already love these characters and I want to know their stories! Riveted had me completely riveted from the very first page. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist) This book is seriously so good y’all! Riveted is the story of Dixie Carmichael and Dash ‘Church’ Churchill. I loved the stark differences between Dixie and Church. Dixie is this eternal optimist. A total hopeless romantic that believes in the perfect fairy tale love story. I loved Dixie. You can’t help but want her to get her happy ending. And Church is jaded. Very jaded. How can he not be from his past…. Read more »

{Review} I SEE YOU by Molly McAdams

{Review} I SEE YOU by Molly McAdams

I See you is a new adult standalone contemporary romance by Molly McAdams. I have not read any of Molly’s other books, but when I heard that she was the “queen of the love triangle” and that I See you was “… one of the most memorable love triangles in fiction since Twilight” I was super pumped. I knew I had to check it out. I really enjoy a good love triangle. And here is the thing- I really liked I See You. I thought the romance was beautiful and emotional and very, very moving. And I liked the love triangle….but it was not my favorite love triangle in the world. Don’t get me wrong though, overall, I See You was a very good read. The story is told in multiple points of view and multiple timelines. The story reverts back and forth between the present and a past event that helped to shape and form the love triangle. I didn’t mind the narration style at all. I found it… Read more »

{Interview+Giveaway} The Woman in the Photo by @AuthorMaryHogan

{Interview+Giveaway} The Woman in the Photo by @AuthorMaryHogan

What’s the story behind THE WOMAN IN THE PHOTO? How did the book come to be? I first had the idea for this book 24 years ago! I’m not kidding. In 1992, my husband, actor Robert Hogan, was in an off-Broadway play called On the Bum, also starring Cynthia Nixon and Campbell Scott. The play was set in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, several years after the epic flood. The characters talked about a “lake in the sky” which piqued my curiosity. A few days later, I went to the library to read about such strange geography. That’s when I read the real story of the Johnstown disaster. Wow. I was blown away. What a great story! I held my breath for 24 years worrying that someone would write my book before I got a chance to. There are other books out there about the flood, but nothing like mine. How did you conduct your research for the book? Are any of the characters in the book inspired by real-life people? While on… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Remembrance by @MegCabot @WmMorrowBks

{Review+Giveaway} Remembrance by @MegCabot @WmMorrowBks

Do you guys even know how exciting this is for me? Meg Cabot has been my favorite author for my whole reading life. Her books are the very first books that I remember completely devouring and re-reading in the young adult genre. And the Mediator series is my very favorite of my favorites. I have, no joke, read the mediator series at least 15 times. Remembrance is book 7 in the Mediator series by Meg Cabot, and it takes place 15 years after book 6 left off. What I love the most about Remembrance is that the characters have grown up just like I have. So now this is an adult book. Suze is getting ready to marry off Jesse (who by the way, was my very first book boyfriend. And still one of my top book boyfriends of all time.) Reading Remembrance was like getting to reminisce with some of my older best friends. It was so great. Like being wrapped up in a big hug by someone you… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Bounce by @Noelle_August @Morrow_PB

{Review+Giveaway} Bounce by @Noelle_August @Morrow_PB

The Boomerang series has been one that I have been wanting to read for a long time. And the plot summary of Bounce appealed to me the most out of all three books so far, so I decided, why not? Let’s start with number Bounce. And I am so glad that I did. Bounce was such a fun read and honestly, it was a giant “awh” book. That is the only way I know how to describe it. Bounce made me say “awh” so many times while reading it. If you are looking for a cute book that will put a perma smile on your face, read Bounce. I like that so many of the characters from the series play such large roles in Bounce. That will be great fun for fans that have read the entire series, but it was also great for me as a first time reader because I felt like I got to know them, even thought I hadn’t read their stories yet. I loved Skyler…. Read more »
