{Review+Dream Cast+Giveaway} TOO HOT TO HANDLE by Tessa Bailey @mstessabailey @ForeverRomance

{Review+Dream Cast+Giveaway} TOO HOT TO HANDLE by Tessa Bailey @mstessabailey @ForeverRomance

Check out Who Tessa pictured as Rita and Jasper. (I completely approve by the way!!) When I cast TOO HOT TO HANDLE in my head (and on my Pinterest boards o’course!) I used a more introverted version of Emilia Clarke as Rita Clarkson. All the shiny effervesce and beauty of a brunette Emilia, with more dark makeup and clothing. This is the picture I sent to my editor when casting for the cover, because I think it captures Rita’s personality: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/508132770433476759/ As for Jasper, he is described in the book as a young, revamped Matthew McConaughey and I think his personality totally matches that of a young carefree (non naked bongo playing) version of the actor. I promise he doesn’t say “alright, alright, alright,” but he does have that cool guy, ladies love me spirit. Scott Porter from Hart of Dixie would be my choice to play Jasper in a film J https://www.pinterest.com/pin/508132770433788636/ Sheesh! This book is all that the title promises and more. Too Hot to Handles is the… Read more »

{Mini Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} MAYBE THIS TIME by @JenniferSnow18 @ForeverRomance

{Mini Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} MAYBE THIS TIME by @JenniferSnow18 @ForeverRomance

Maybe this time is the second book in the Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow. The Colorado Ice series is an adult contemporary sports romance. This is the first book I read in this series, and while it can be read as a standalone and I had no problem following along, I do think this would be best enjoyed in order. Maybe this Time is a book that has elements outside of my comfort zone, but I am so so glad I decided to read it. I knew I would love the hockey player aspect of the story, but divorce and bitter divorcees are not really something I gravitate towards in my romances. Maybe that is rude of me, (which I don’t mean it to be!) it is just not something I can really relate to and it brings a whole separate set of baggage that I don’t really have the experience to connect with the characters. But I do love a sports romance and I love a sweet second… Read more »

{Brief Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} Only You by Denise Grover Swank @DeniseMSwank @ForeverRomance

{Brief Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} Only You by Denise Grover Swank @DeniseMSwank @ForeverRomance

Only You is the first book in a spin-off from Denise Grover Swank‘s New York Times bestselling Wedding Pact series (The Wedding Pact, The Player, The Gambler, The Valentine). Only You is also the first book in the Bachelor Brotherhood series.  I have never read her Wedding Pact series but I have read lots of her paranormal romances (The Curse Keepers Series and the On the Other Side series and they were both five star reads for me. So I knew I had to give her contemporary romance a spin. And boy, am I glad I did. Only You is everything I look for in a romance. It was cute, sexy and a totally fun and sweet read. Staying single romances are always a fun read for me. There is just something about finding that special someone when you least expect it, or even when you are warding it off that is always a winner in my book. It just seems so sweet and romantic, and I think we all know that… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

Four Letter Word is the first book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin’ loved Four Letter Word. (on a side note, this is the second book I have read in a week where the guy character loves crosswords puzzles. It is so adorable in a way I didn’t even know existed. Brian makes me want to buy a puzzle book, because maybe some hot guy will start texting me asking me to help him solve clues. ) Either way, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. This is the was my first book by J. Daniels and I am already hooked. She drew me into this story so much so I was actually was waiting for the next text just like Syd and Brian. I neglected my actual phone while reading Four Letter Word. And that is really saying something. Four Letter Word is told in dual narrative between Brian… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} In Ruins by Danielle Pearl @DaniPearlAuthor @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} In Ruins by Danielle Pearl @DaniPearlAuthor @ForeverRomance

In Ruins is the first in a new, new adult contemporary romance series by Danielle Pearl. The series is called the Something More series. I really enjoyed this one. It is told in dual narrative and jumps back and forth between multiple different time lines, so sometimes it was a little hard to keep track of the stories, but it was nice that we got to see the couples relationship throughout childhood, high school and then college. In Ruins in told in dual narrative between Tucker and Carleigh. It is really a second chance romance story, but this one packs a real punch. I think most of that is due to the fact that their first chance romance is in the not so distant future. They broke up the summer before they started college for a big mysterious lie (this lie had me so capitvated and fascinated. I could not for the life of me figure out what it was going to be for most of the book!) and… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} FIGHTING TO BE FREE by @KirstyEMoseley @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} FIGHTING TO BE FREE by @KirstyEMoseley @ForeverRomance

Fighting to be Free is the first book in the Fighting to Be Free series by wattpad author sensation Kirsty Moseley. Fighting to be Free got over 6 million reads on Wattpad, so I just had to read it for myself. I mean, that is a lot of reads! I really enjoyed Fighting to Be Free. I am not totally sure if I will be continuing the series, but I did enjoy the story, and I am curious to see what is going to happen next. The book leaves off at kind of the step before a potentially pivotal part in Jamie and Ellie’s story. I would classify Fighting to be Free as dark contemporary romance. It is certainly new adult in content, but the characters are still young adult age. Both of the main characters start out as 17, so it is a cross over novel, but if you are basing on content, it is in the new adult category for sure. Fighting to be Free is told in… Read more »

{ARC Review+Interview+Giveaway} With Every Breath by @LiaRileyWrites @ForeverRomance

{ARC Review+Interview+Giveaway} With Every Breath by @LiaRileyWrites @ForeverRomance

With Every Breath is first book in the new adult series, called the Wanderlust series. It takes place at the Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. I love to hike, so a hiking romance novel is right up my alley. With Every Breath is the story of Auden and Rhys. I absolutely loved the romance and the setting of this story. I could not put this book down. In fact, it was one of my favorite reads of the year. Auden and Rhys each have different reasons for their hike in Patagonia. Auden just landed a writing internship with an outdoors magazine and she wants to interview hikers to upgrade her internship to a paying job. Rhys has a big secret that has been haunting him. More and more of his story unfolds as With Every Breath unfolds and his story really gripped my heart. I felt for him so much, because his past was consuming him. Auden sees him and sees what his past is doing to who… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} The Marriage Contract by @katee_robert @Barclay_PR

{ARC Review+Giveaway} The Marriage Contract by @katee_robert @Barclay_PR

The Marriage Contract is the first in a new contemporary romance series, called The O’Malleys by author Katee Robert. I have read one of Katee’s books in the past and really enjoyed the steamy romance, so I couldn’t wait to try out her new series. I enjoyed getting to know some of the O’Malleys, and this is a series that I will be keeping my eye on. This series follows the three powerful Boston families- the O’Malleys, the Hallorans, and the Sheridans. Politics is a main focus on the story in The O’Malleys book one- The Marriage Contract. And as you can guess, when politics are involved, things can get a little intense. And they certainly did in this book. But the intensity was paired really well with a kick ass romance, so no complaints here. The Marriage Contract focuses on a couple from two of the three families. Callie Sheridan and Teague O’Malley. And as you might have guessed, this powerful “marriage” leaves the third family out in the… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} One Last Song by S.K. Falls @skfallssc @ForeverRomance

{ARC Review+Giveaway} One Last Song by S.K. Falls @skfallssc @ForeverRomance

Sometimes there are books that are hard to put into words why you liked them so much. The main character wasn’t necessarily likeable. Things didn’t turn out exactly how you wanted them to. People you did like in the book got hurt. But still, you were just moved by the book, in a very profound way. One Last Song is one of those books. It is such a powerful voice and story. It is dark and unexpected. The main character is certainly not anyone that I would have thought I would have liked. And I am still not even 100% sure that I do like her. But I certainly feel for her, and I can sympathize with her. And that is enough with this story. Trust me, One Last Song will make you feel all kinds of emotions. As a side note, One Last Song is a standalone read. The main character, Saylor is a girl that from the summary you will see swallows needles. In the book, you learn… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Right Kind of Wrong by @ChelseaFine @InkSlingerPR

{Review+Giveaway} Right Kind of Wrong by @ChelseaFine @InkSlingerPR

I’m not even going to kid you…this is going to be a gushing review. But I think it is warranted. Hear me out. I have now read all three of the books in the Finding Fate series, and they have all been AMAZING! This is what New Adult should be and I am not afraid to share my love for Chelsea Fine’s characters and writing. There is something so comforting in reading book after book by an author and loving each one. I can confidently say that I anticipate loving every single book by Ms. Fine. Her characters are always well developed individuals and she doesn’t use a cookie cutter for them all. They all have distinct personalities, but they are all equally relate able and lovable. Right Kind of Wrong is the story of Pixie’s (from book 1) college roommate and best friend, Jenna. And her ex co-worker Jack. They hooked up one night almost a year ago and things haven’t been the same with them since. Jack clearly… Read more »
