{Review+Giveaway} Player by Staci Hart

Player is a new adult standalone romantic comedy by author Staci Hart. I really love Staci’s books. They always deliver a great romance, with believable and swoonworthy characters, and the writing is always excellent. Player is no exception. I really enjoyed this book. It felt a bit different than her other novels, but the premise is one that I always enjoy. I love a good romance centered on a bet. In fact, you could say I am a sucker for this trope. It always seems to work out well for me and my reading experience. In Player we meet Sam and Val. They are both orchestra players on Broadway, which is a huge accomplishment in and of itself. Sam is also an actually player, he is up front with women about the fact that he is not looking for anything serious. Sam’s friend Ian is a total cad, which leads us to our Bet. Ian promises to stay away from Val as long as Sam pretends to date her for… Read more »

{ARC Review} Tonic by Staci Hart @imaquirkybird

Tonic is a new adult romantic comedy by Staci Hart. I would put this one more in the vein of a contemporary romance because it takes some time for the comedy part of the romantic comedy to gear up. But either way, I loved Tonic. I was in the mood for a really great romance and it totally hit the spot. I have been wanting to read another Staci Hart book for a while now, because I knew that I would really enjoy it and I was right. She is right up there with Penny Reid and Meg Cabot as my romance go to authors. I loved the perspective that Tonic took. I am a reality tv show junky and Tonic is about a tattoo shop that is getting it’s own reality show. But the story itself is told in dual narrative between Annika and Joel. Joel is the shop owner and Annika is a tv show producer. That is the interesting perspective I am talking about. I think it… Read more »

{Release Day Review} Wasted Words by Staci Hart @imaquirkybird @givemebooksblog

Wasted Words is a new adult romantic comedy by Staci Hart. Wasted Words is inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma, and I have to say this is one of the best new adult romantic comedies that I have read in a long time. I really, loved it. I loved Cam. I loved Tyler. I loved the two of them together. I just loved it. Wasted Words is a quirky, refreshing, and completely addicting romance. I could not get enough of it. One of my favorite reads of 2016 for sure. Cam works at a comic book/book store/bar. Does that alone, not sound freakin’ awesome? I want one of those where I live. A bookstore and a bar all in one? Sign me up. I knew right away that I was going to like Cam. In the very first chapter of the story Cam started her match making with an Outlander reading girl and an Anime reading guy. (And by the way, Wasted Words marks the second book I have read in… Read more »
