{Review+Giveaway} Single by @Collette_West

Single is the first book in the new spin off series of the New York Kings Series by Collette West, called Stockton Beavers. While I have not read the entire New York Kings series, yet, I have read a couple of the books and I really enjoyed them, so I knew that I was probably going to enjoy this one just as much. It was a tough read for me, because of the subject matter but I loved the story and romance. Luke and Roberta are a great match, and Single is a really great story. Collette West always does a good job with her books. I loved that this one is the start of a new series, but still takes place in the New York Kings world. Luke has been dealt a rough hand. I felt for him so much. To be dealing with a career changing injury as well as taking care of a parent with Alzheimer’s. It was an emotional read for me. I loved Luke so… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Perfect Game by @Collette_West

Perfect Game is the fourth book in the Adult sports romance series, Night Games. The series each focuses on a different player on the baseball team, the New York Kings. Perfect Game focuses on Scott, who is a notorious womanizer. At this point, I am thinking that practically all the New York Kings are. The books  are each complete standalones, but I will warn you that this one picks up right in the middle of a scene so it feels like you are initially missing something, but you aren’t. That is just the way the book starts, but don’t worry, once you get past those first two scenes everything starts to make sense and you get backstory. As a side note Perfect Game and the whole series is really an adult sports romance series, but it straddles the line between New Adult and adult because of the age of a few of the characters. What I liked about Scott’s story was that it felt very natural. Scott doesn’t do commitment… Read more »

{ #Review +Giveaway} Game On by @Collette_West

Game On is the third book in the New Adult sports romance series, Night Games. The series each focuses on a different player on the baseball team, the New York Kings. I was already half in love with Jilly before I started Game On. I really liked him in Game Changer, and I was super excited that he was going to be getting his own book. And once I found out a bit more of his story, that he always seems to be the ones women are leaving- for who knows what reason, seriously, why??- I felt for him even more. He is such a sweetheart. He might not be the most expressive guy in the world, but he doesn’t play any games. He doesn’t hold any punches with the people that he cares about. It is so clear to see that Jilly is crazy about Hailey. She is the one that got away from high school. And while she drove me kind of batty at times, I liked how… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Game Changer by Collette West @Collette_West

First off, I would like to point out that Game Changer is not the first book in the series. I thought it was when I signed up for the tour, and goodreads didn’t put a series name down with this title. It can technically be read as a standalone, and I wasn’t lost or anything like that, but it was clear to me that there was a preceding book (at least one) about other characters. I enjoyed Game Changer but I do wish that I had read Night Games first. Game Changer is equal parts romance as it is about the game of baseball. I really liked that. One did not overshadow the other. It was a bit unrealistic that the major leagues allowed a girl to play. I know they brought it up in the book as a concern that they brushed aside, but I do not think the major leagues are ready for a female player. However, having said that it certainly was interesting to see how Collette… Read more »
