I could not have been more excited when Macmillan and #FierceReads reached out to me and asked me to be the featured blogger for the Vero Beach stop on the Fierce Reads tour. I couldn’t wait to the authors. I got to the bookstore about an hour before the event began, and waited for the authors. They were all so nice when they showed up, and I got the opportunity to interview them before the event started. I was pretty nervous, I had never interviewed an author in person before, let alone 4 at once.
(My interview is coming…I am still transcribing it from my recorder.)
My favorite part of the tour was just watching the authors interact with each other. The four of them had such great chemistry together. They seemed to get really close throughout this leg of the tour. They all had really great senses of humor, and had no problem taking jokes and dishing them right back. It was so much fun to witness. They are each really funny.
I tried to live tweet the event, but it was hard to do the authors justice. It seemed like I couldn’t type out the tweets fast enough. I will be reading and reviewing each of the books for my blog in the coming months. Hearing them describe their characters and books has made me super excited to read them. 
Some of my favorite parts were when the ladies talked about other jobs they would like and when Anna Banks joked about why she doesn’t like to outline. 
It was the best author event that I have been to. I am not able to get off of work to go to BEA so I am super excited that I got to do something Bookish and meet all of these awesome authors. I want to go on a binge read of all of their works so I can continue to fangirl over them. 
I’m going to be giving away a complete set of their books today and then I have another giveaway planned with some swag and some of their signed ARCs so stay tuned and watch for that. If you have a fierce reads author event in your area or anywhere close (I drove 1.5 hours to get to this one!) I would urge you to go. They are so much fun!! And I got to meet some other bloggers. I met Rebecca from The Literary Connoisseur. She has been going to events at the Vero Beach Book center for a while and she is so sweet! She made all of the authors crocheted bags in the colors of their books! She is so talented 🙂

How fun!! The closest events are usually at least 3+ hours away, so I it’s quite a trip. I wish I could go to more. lol – like wearing a bra in the shower!
