Today we have with us, Author Rebecca Royce for the Eye Contact blog tour. I really enjoyed Eye Contact and my review will be up later today. Thank you so much for joining us today Rebecca. She will be talking about what she does when she has writers block.

When I have writers block, which I am lucky to say I don’t have very often, I sit down and try to write something else.  This may seem a little counterintuitive.  How can I write something new when I can’t seem to write what I was supposed to be working on?
I’m not exactly sure why it works but I’ve actually had several books published that were a result of my not being able to creatively work on another project for a little while.
I think that pulling myself out one world that is troubling me and giving in to something else helps me to clear my mind of stress and worry, eventually enabling me to write the first project again.
So far, I haven’t had trouble writing in the world of Eye Contact.  The Conditioned flows out of me like I’ve always wanted to write it.  Embraced, which is the second book in the series, and is not yet released, also poured from my fingers with such intensity that I sometimes had to slow myself down.
I think as long as I can keep writing something, I won’t be too bogged down with the inevitable creative traffic jam that keeps writers from being able to complete their projects.

What do you do to stimulate creativity?

Eye Contact

As a teenager, I would hide in my room to read my favorite romance novels when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I hope, these days, that my parents think it was worth it.

I am the mother of three adorable boys and I am fortunate to be married to my best friend.  We live in northern New Jersey and try not to freeze too badly during the winter months.
I am in love with science fiction, fantasy, and the paranormal and try to use all of these elements in my writing.  I’ve been told I’m a little bloodthirsty so I hope that when you read my work you’ll enjoy the action packed ride that always ends in romance. I love to write series because I love to see characters develop over time and it always makes me happy to see my favorite characters make guest appearances in other books.
In my world anything is possible, anything can happen, and you should suspect that it will.
I’d love to hear from you!
