Summary (from Goodreads)

Ashlyn McVean doesn’t believe in fairy tales. That is, until Ashlyn is thrown into the crosshairs of grudges her grandmother created long ago. After finding out she is one of two people able to cross between faerie realms, Ashlyn is faced with trying to understand her abilities, along with navigating a new relationship with her boyfriend, Liam. As if being on a centuries old hit list and dealing with crazed pixies isn’t enough, her new abilities mean trouble for Liam. Knowing her new life puts everyone she loves in danger, Ashlyn must decide what’s most important in her life between friends, family, love, and ultimately, realms.

Wow! Bridger was so great. I started writing a review right after I finished the book and all I was doing was gushing over and over again. So I decided to wait a little bit, so my review was not just variations of “I love this book!” and “OMG Bridger was so great!”. But now i’m back after a few hours and i’m still gushing. So why fight it? Let’s gush people!

Bridger is going on my favorite’s of 2011 shelf for sure! It is so exciting and the story is really well developed. A lot happens, and it is so fast paced, but at the same time you get such great background detail about everything. I loved the way the book was written. It throws a lot at you, and it can seem confusing at first but Megan does a great job of explaining everything. I thought Bridger was really unique.

Ash is such an interesting character. She can do some pretty cool things, and I have a feeling that we have only really touched the surface on her abilities. I can’t wait to see what else she can do. The only thing I didn’t like about the book was that I loved both Liam and Reese. What is a girl to do when presented with two equally awesome options? I normally like to root for one guy over the other, but both guys here are just so swoon worthy, it’s tough to pick. I guess I will have to wait until the next book to make my decision.

My favorite part was how action packed and fast paced the book was. It drew me in completely. Multiple times while I was laying down reading, something would happen and I would bolt upright in bed. I just had to know what was going to happen next! I even got up with my kindle and was pacing around the room reading at one point! It literally kept me on my toes! Now is that doesn’t scream “this is an awesome book!” I don’t know what does.

I hate that I have to wait for the second book to come out. I want to read it right now! This book was awesome, great, wonderful and all things an amazing book should be. I thoroughly loved reading every minute of Bridger. Thank you so much Megan Curd!! ๐Ÿ™‚

OMG Bridger was so great!! (I just had to get one last gush in there)

  1. You wrote a great review. I love reading reviews that are full of ‘gushing’ about the book. I think books that can inspire that much passion MUST be worth reading.
