Summary (from Goodreads)
When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn’t until eleven years later that Wendy finds out her mother might’ve been telling the truth. With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed – and it’s one she’s not sure if she wants to be a part of.

My Review:
I really liked this book. When I first found out it was about trolls, I was so skeptical. But it turned out really good.

I can’t say im too fond of the Queen, but that is not surprising, since she is such a cold character.

I do like Wendy- she is so feisty and strong willed. I love that she does not let anyone push her around.
Unfortunately, I also really like Matt, and I was so upset when she had to leave him behind. I hope he plays a bigger role in the next two books and that things work out well for him because he is such a good guy.

And of course, I love Finn. He is so strong and moral. I want him to come and protect me. I was so sad at the end of the book, when he chose to leave because he was “looking out” for wendy and what was best for her. I cannot wait to see more interaction between Wendy and Finn in the next book.

The plot was interesting and has a good amount of mystery surrounding their world. Just enough to make you want to keep reading. I liked that I was left guessing and wanting more, but was never frustratingly confused about not knowing anything. I don’t like books that leave you completely in the dark for too long, claiming they are trying to be mysterious.

Overall, this looks like it could be a very good series. There are still some loose ends to wrap up and more than enough room for more development and I am excited to see where the story goes.

3.7/5 Gavels.

  1. I loved the first two books in the series and then the third one threw me for such a loop…but not in a bad one… I hope you enjoy the series!

  2. Thanks I actually have the other two books in the series, I just have not gotten around to reading them yet. Now I want to read them ASAP

  3. Glad you liked Switched, I really love this series. I was little skeptical when I first read it was about trolls too but I ended up really enjoying them. The last book is a bit of shocker but I still liked it. I also really enjoyed Hocking’s other books such as The Blood Approves series and Hollowland. However The Trylle books are still my favorite. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

  4. I really loved this series. The first two were right on track with what “I” wanted to happen and then yes, the 3rd one just smacks you upside the head and says nope LOL. Still really really great series 🙂
