"The Hating Game meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding!"
You think you have a crazy family? Meet Leo Donati, a great guy from a wacky New York Italian family, who is expected to live his life a certain way. There are a few family rules etched in stone that he has done his best to follow:
1. Attend Sunday family dinner. It’s at 2:00. Nobody knows why.2. Love your mother. 3. Never tell Nonna you're full. Unless you have a death wish. 4. Marry Italian. 5. Family comes first. Always. Friends come and go, but family is forever.
The only problem? He's not living his best life. Not even close. Single, lonely, and spending way too much time at the gym burning sexual energy and ungodly amounts of pasta, Leo hopes his life will change when his father hands over the family business. If only things were that simple. A takeover offer on the business puts Leo on the war path against a strikingly sexy, but overly competitive Jewish woman who is seemingly intent on ruining his life. At least that's how Leo sees it.
As tension rises and Italian tempers flare, Leo wonders if perhaps hate isn't the most accurate word for how he feels about his new nemesis. But it could never work. Yeah, the pizza bagel exists, but real-life cultural divides are more complicated than that, aren't they?
Humor abounds as corporations and cultures collide. Leo tries to thwart the takeover, find love and happiness, while also trying to avoid being bludgeoned to death by his Nonna's wooden spoon.
Love & Agita is a laugh-out loud, romantic comedy that has it all: twists, turns, emotional depth, sparkling chemistry and hilarious banter that flies off the page.

My Thoughts

Love & Agita is a hilarious romantic comedy by Grayson Avery. I am not going to lie, I read this book solely because I come from an Italian family, and when I read the rules I was already cracking up. I could totally relate. Sunday Dinner is always so crazy early in my family too…and no one knows why! This book was a total blast, and Grayson Avery had me cracking up the whole time. I really enjoyed this rom com, and if you are looking for a fun read that will have you cracking up (epically if you are Italian or come from a close family), then you need to check out Love & Agita.

In Love & Agita, we meet our main character Leo who comes from a big Italian family, who all love him very much. His family runs a print shop, and everyone works in it. I loved this idea, especially because this family has a ton of personality! Leo wants to take over the family business, but right when he is ready to, there is an offer too tempting to pass up made for an outsider to purchase the business. In walks Rae, and Leo’s whole world blows up! I really enjoyed Leo and Rae, and I loved Leo’s family. All of the antics and characters in Love & Agita were cracking me up. This book is genuinely funny and totally adorable and heartwarming.

I will admit that the cover of this book is not my favorite style, but if you are like me, then do not let that dissuade you. I thoroughly enjoyed myself while reading Love & Agita and I can’t wait to check out more books by Grayson Avery. Rae and Leo are more alike than either one of them would care to admit, and that coupled with their insta-hate dynamic and awesome banter was a winning combination for me. As the summary points out, this book is perfect for fans of my big fat greek wedding.

I’m not Italian, but can relate too, when I read the rules, because friends are Italian and I have eaten at their Sunday family dinners. Love the cover!
