{Release Day Review+Giveaway} CHAIN REACTION by Tara Wyatt

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} CHAIN REACTION by Tara Wyatt

Chain Reaction is the third, and final book, in the adult romantic suspense, Bodyguard series by Tara Wyatt. I have not read either of the first two books in the series, however; I have a thing for bodyguard stories, so when I saw Chain Reaction float into my email, I couldn’t pass it up. The books can be read as standalones, and I had no problem picking up with this installment. The plot sounds yummy, and it totally was! I really enjoyed this steamy bodyguard tale. There is lots of bickering, plenty of action and a sexy romance. Yes, please. Chain Reaction is Alexa and Zack’s story. This book has so many things going for it. First, a bodyguard. Second, an undercover bodyguard and third a fake turned real romance. Bodyguards and fake romances, I am all over this book. It was such a fun read. However; with as many fun and sexy elements as this book had, the actual plotline of the story was also pretty creepy. The suspense… Read more »

{Review} For Her Protection by @AmberABardan

{Review} For Her Protection by @AmberABardan

For Her Protection: An Alpha Romance is the first book in the Personal Protection series by author Amber A. Bardan. The Personal Protection series is an adult romantic suspense series.I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to follow the rest of the series. For her Protection is told in dual narrative between the two main characters, Charlize and Conner. I love the forced bodyguard trope, which this book follows. It is not a story that I have ever discovered before this year, but I really do enjoy it. For Her Protection is a really good novel in this genre to start with. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. More than I even expected to. I loved Conner so much. More than I can even describe in this review without getting mushy. I liked Charlize too but Conner was the perfect mix of stubborn and unyielding and sweet and protective for me. I just want to clone him for me. There is a  nice little romance as well as a… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Fighting Chance by Victoria Paige @vpaigebooks

Fighting Chance is the first book in the adult romantic suspense series, called Misty Grove by author Victoria Paige. The series is named for the small town of Misty Grove, where the series takes place. I loved Fighting Chance. I thought it was well written, the character are interesting and well developed, the romance is flippin’ fantastic, and the plot is very intriguing. ready for the thing I don’t love about Fighting Chance. Get ready, because I am sure it is going to be an unpopular opinion. I don’t love the cover. I know, tons of you will go swoony just at the sight of the cover, but I just don’t think it fits the tone of the story. Sure the romance is steamy, but there is so much more going on, and I just didn’t get the shirtless guy thing. Plus, I am not a huge fan of just having a shirtless guy on the cover of a book because he has nice abs. But I know I am… Read more »

{Guest Post+Giveaway} The Stranger by @Anna_Del_Mar @CarinaPress

Get a Copy: Amazon | B&N | GooglePlay | Kobo | Carina Press Series: The Wounded Warrior #2 Release: August 22, 2016 Goodreads I loved The Asset by Anna Del Mar (You can check out my review HERE) so I am very excited to have Anna back on the blog with a guest post today! When Ice Meets Fire Introducing The Stranger By Anna del Mar     Hello Book Briefs visitors! I’m delighted to introduce to you the characters of The Stranger, my newest romantic suspense and the second book of my Wounded Warrior Series, following on the heels of the Amazon bestseller, The Asset. One very cool fact about the series is that you don’t have to read the books in any particular order. Each novel is a standalone journey. Like The Asset, The Stranger is also about a strong heroine trying to find her place in the world and a brave, hot alpha fighting his own demons who will stop at nothing to protect the woman he… Read more »

{Review} Mine by HelenKay Dimon @helenkaydimon @BerkleyRomance

Mine is the third book in the Holton Woods series by HelenKay Dimon. I have not read books 1 or 2 in the series, nor had I even heard of the series before reading Mine. I had no problem keeping up with the story or the characters, so I can confidently say that each book stands on its’ own. CIA and Military is a trope that I don’t venture into very often, but for the right book and the right plot line I am happy to try it. And there was just something about Mine that spoke to me. It is a really engaging read and a fantastic romance. I loved the clash and mixture of two dominant personalities. Natalie and Gabe have incredible chemistry. Natalie is ex CIA and people want her dead. Lots of people. Gabe comes into the picture to keep Natalie safe, throw in lots of obstacles, off the charts chemistry, quick witted banter and really smart writing and you have the formula for a romance… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Beautiful Collision by T.G. Ayer @tgayerauthor

{Review+Giveaway} Beautiful Collision by T.G. Ayer @tgayerauthor

Beautiful Collision is the first book in the new adult suspense thriller series, Desperation. It starts off right in the middle of the action too. The main character is on the run. We don’t know from who yet and we don’t know any of the details as to why, but you are thrown right in the middle of the action. It certainly was an effective way to draw the reader in. Beautiful Collision is told in dual narrative between Gray and Thane, the guy sent to keep an eye on her. I loved the way T.G. Ayer told the story. It flips back and forth between Gray and Thane, with more chapters from Gray’s perspective and also scattered throughout where flashback that gave us details slowly on the who and why Gray was running from. I really liked both Gray and Thane. Gray is a tough girl, that is very apparent right from the start of the story. And she certainly has not had an easy life, but she never… Read more »
