{Review+Giveaway} Hit the Spot by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} Hit the Spot by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

Hit the Spot is the second book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin’ loved Four Letter Word, the first book in the series. In fact, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. So I knew that I needed, not wanted, NEEDED to read Hit the Spot when it came out. I loved Jamie from Four Letter Word. I loved how determined he was to win over Legs, I mean, Tori. Hit the Spot can be read as a standalone but I really recommend reading Four Letter Word first. I am so hooked on this series. J. Daniels is a new favorite author of mine, after reading just two of her books.  She drew me into this story so much. She has a way of making a romance seem dirty and sweet at the same time. It is something you have to read to understand. She writes about fantastically flawed and… Read more »

It is the first book in the series I have read and I really enjoyed this one. I don’t read too many historical romances, but when I do, I tend to be very picky. The Dare and the Doctor stood up to my strict scrutiny. I found the characters to be a breath of fresh air. I especially loved the witty and snappy… Read more »

{Mini Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend by Kay Marie @daviskaitlyn

{Mini Review+Excerpt+Giveaway} Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend by Kay Marie @daviskaitlyn

Note: This is the second book in a series that must be read in order. If you are new to the series, check out my review of book one: Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist! HERE ** Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend is written by ya author Kaitlin Davis, writing new adult as Kay Marie. This book is the second book in the series and it must be read after book one: Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist! I really enjoyed the first book, and this one was no different. It is a hilarious read. I honestly don’t know any other way to describe it. I struggled with this review because every other sentence I wrote kept repeating how funny and witty and quirky this book was. So I decided to scrap that whole long meandering and honestly just repetitive review and write a mini review instead, telling you that this book is funny and a great time and you should read it. Period. End of story. Confessions of an Undercover… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

Four Letter Word is the first book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin’ loved Four Letter Word. (on a side note, this is the second book I have read in a week where the guy character loves crosswords puzzles. It is so adorable in a way I didn’t even know existed. Brian makes me want to buy a puzzle book, because maybe some hot guy will start texting me asking me to help him solve clues. ) Either way, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. This is the was my first book by J. Daniels and I am already hooked. She drew me into this story so much so I was actually was waiting for the next text just like Syd and Brian. I neglected my actual phone while reading Four Letter Word. And that is really saying something. Four Letter Word is told in dual narrative between Brian… Read more »

{Review} Broken God by @NazareaAndrews

{Review} Broken God by @NazareaAndrews

Broken God is an adult fantasy & mythology romance by author Nazarea Andrews. You all know how much I love Mythology, and with a beautiful cover like that, how could I turn this book down?! I really do love Apollo too, and the reason I love him being featured in stories is because he is the god of so many interesting things, so it is really great to see which of his talents so to speak that the author is going to play up. It gives a lot of flexibility to create many different versions of Apollo and still be true to his legend. I thought Broken God was excellent in that regard. I loved the relationship between Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. And we can’t forget about Iris, I really loved her too. It took me some time to find my groove and my footing while reading Broken God though. When I first started the book, I actually thought I was reading from Iris’ point of view (I… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Six Month Rule by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

{Review+Giveaway} Six Month Rule by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

Six Month Rule is the second book in the Kingston Ale House series by A.J. Pine. I had no problem jumping into this book, even though I have not read the first book. (They each follow a different couple.) I have read several books by this author, so I feel like I pretty much know what to expect going in. I know it is going to be a good romance, I know there are going to be flawed, complex characters that make for an interesting read, and I know that there is probably going to be drama thrown in. And I was right on all of the above for the Six Month Rule. I have always found horoscopes to be very interesting, so I really liked that each of the chapters start out with the horoscope of one of the characters. Holly is a big believer in them, and I loved seeing her reactions to some of them. It helped me get to know her better. Holly has a very… Read more »

{Review} The Azure Kingdom by @Michelle_Dare

{Review} The Azure Kingdom by @Michelle_Dare

The Azure Kingdom is part of the Skeleton Key book series. I really love the set up of this series. It is a group of almost 30 authors, each one writing a book featuring a skeleton key that unlocks a secret world. But all of the books are vastly different. Different themes, different age groups and different sub genres. I just love that idea. So whether you like young adult, new adult or adult, you will be able to find a book for you. If you want to know more information about the series you can check out the website dedicated to the books. Skeleton Key Book Series One Skeleton Key. Endless Adventures. https://skeletonkeybookseries.com The Azure Kingdom is my favorite of the books I have read so far in the Skeleton Key series. It felt different and much more like a full length novel (because it was) than the previous two novellas I had read from the series. I also loved that this one had more of a high fantasy… Read more »
