{Review} There’s Something About Nik by Sara Hantz

{Review} There’s Something About Nik by Sara Hantz

There’s Something About Nik by Sara Hantz is a young adult contemporary romance. It’s about an undercover prince and I have had such great success with the Entangled crush line that I so wanted to love this one. I really really did. But it just didn’t work for me. I’m not really sure why. Sara Hantz did a fine job with the writing, and I wouldn’t be opposed to reading another one of her books, but this plot wasn’t for me. And that is ok. If you think you would love a book about a mysterious guy who is really a prince, you should check out some of the reviews I have linked below. Lot’s of people really enjoyed this book. There’s Something about Nik is the story of Nik and Amber. Nik comes to an american boarding school and he is so clearly hiding a secret. And honestly, I liked Nik for the most part. {Review} Hot on His Heels by Margo Bond Collins

{Review} Hot on His Heels by Margo Bond Collins

Hot on His Heels is the 16th book in the What Happens in Vegas series by Margo Bond Collins. Hot on His Heels is an adult contemporary romance from the entangled Lovestruck line. And I have to say, the two main characters Sadie and Jake, did seem very lovestruck throughout the story. But unfortunately, I also have to say that I didn’t love Hot on His Heels as much as I wanted to. It is a quick read, and I can see a lot of people really enjoying the spicy-sweetness of the story but it didn’t mesh with me and my personality. Hot on His Heels is an interesting concept. Jake is a very famous romance editor, but because his brother is an ultra conservative politician and doesn’t want to smear his public image Jake has decided to hide behind a female persona. Sadie is a literature professor that is beautiful but has no idea and who is working on an academic piece that she thinks is bound to get… Read more »

{Review} Rules of Payne by Elizabeth Lynx

{Review} Rules of Payne by Elizabeth Lynx

Rules of Payne is a new adult or adult (I think it could go either way) romantic comedy. I didn’t really love the cover of the book, but I loved the summary of the book. I am a big fan of rules to follow type books, and office romances, especially in the comedy arena because it normally will lead to some very funny scenes. And I can see where some people would enjoy that aspect of Rules of Payne, but this book really did not work for me. I am sad to say it, but if based on the summary you think it will be a hit for you- I have linked a couple of reviews from people that really Enjoyed Rules of Payne. Rules of Payne is the first book in the Cake Love series. And yes, the main character really liked cake. I really, really wanted to like Morgana. I so did. And Payne- Morgana’s boss. I liked him ok, but my real issue came with Morgana. And… Read more »
