{Review+Giveaway} Hit the Spot by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} Hit the Spot by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

Hit the Spot is the second book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin’ loved Four Letter Word, the first book in the series. In fact, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. So I knew that I needed, not wanted, NEEDED to read Hit the Spot when it came out. I loved Jamie from Four Letter Word. I loved how determined he was to win over Legs, I mean, Tori. Hit the Spot can be read as a standalone but I really recommend reading Four Letter Word first. I am so hooked on this series. J. Daniels is a new favorite author of mine, after reading just two of her books.  She drew me into this story so much. She has a way of making a romance seem dirty and sweet at the same time. It is something you have to read to understand. She writes about fantastically flawed and… Read more »

It is the first book in the series I have read and I really enjoyed this one. I don’t read too many historical romances, but when I do, I tend to be very picky. The Dare and the Doctor stood up to my strict scrutiny. I found the characters to be a breath of fresh air. I especially loved the witty and snappy… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

{Review+Giveaway} FOUR LETTER WORD by J. Daniels @JDanielsbooks @ForeverRomance

Four Letter Word is the first book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin’ loved Four Letter Word. (on a side note, this is the second book I have read in a week where the guy character loves crosswords puzzles. It is so adorable in a way I didn’t even know existed. Brian makes me want to buy a puzzle book, because maybe some hot guy will start texting me asking me to help him solve clues. ) Either way, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. This is the was my first book by J. Daniels and I am already hooked. She drew me into this story so much so I was actually was waiting for the next text just like Syd and Brian. I neglected my actual phone while reading Four Letter Word. And that is really saying something. Four Letter Word is told in dual narrative between Brian… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Six Month Rule by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

{Review+Giveaway} Six Month Rule by @AJ_Pine @EntangledSelect

Six Month Rule is the second book in the Kingston Ale House series by A.J. Pine. I had no problem jumping into this book, even though I have not read the first book. (They each follow a different couple.) I have read several books by this author, so I feel like I pretty much know what to expect going in. I know it is going to be a good romance, I know there are going to be flawed, complex characters that make for an interesting read, and I know that there is probably going to be drama thrown in. And I was right on all of the above for the Six Month Rule. I have always found horoscopes to be very interesting, so I really liked that each of the chapters start out with the horoscope of one of the characters. Holly is a big believer in them, and I loved seeing her reactions to some of them. It helped me get to know her better. Holly has a very… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Demigods and Monsters by @RayeWagner

{Review+Giveaway} Demigods and Monsters by @RayeWagner

Demigods and Monsters is the second book in the young adult, Sphinx series by Raye Wagner. This is a series that must be read in order, so if you have not read Curse of the Sphinx yet, you need to check that out first. (you can find my review for Curse of the Sphinx HERE). Just like with the first book, in Demigods and Monsters, the mythology nerd in me was totally geeking out the whole time. I really, really love how much classic mythology is woven into the story. Raye Wagner clearly knows what she is talking about. Hope impressed me more in this book than she did in the first book. She is really coming into her own. I didn’t love her in the first book. I found her to be a little wimpy, and too much of a follower. She has proven me wrong. Now that we know a little bit about Apollo’s curse and who the players in the story are, Hope really can dive into the … Read more »

{ARC Review+Interview+Giveaway} Weekend with her Bachelor by @Jeannie_Moon

{ARC Review+Interview+Giveaway} Weekend with her Bachelor by @Jeannie_Moon

Describe Weekend with her Bachelor in a tweet (140 characters or less) Brought together by a winning bid, Gavin & Ally have one weekend to see if old sparks can turn into new flames. What are your favorite kinds of books/tropes to read at the moment? I’m a sucker for second chance romances and give me a good secret baby story, and I’m a happy girl. Tell us something about a character from the book that we wouldn’t have known. The character of Vivi actually based on a real person, and author friend of mine, who is also named Vivi. She talks very fast and likes to keep people organized. What is the most fun part of the writing process for you? I love fleshing out characters. Building them from the ground up and making them breathe. After that I love revising, especially when I have feedback. If we had an author talent show, what would your talent be? I build amazing heroes. I’d totally win the event. Weekend with… Read more »
