Kindles for Kids

Kindles for Kids

What exactly is Kindles for Kids? Kindles for Kids is my way of paying it forward. My goal is to raise enough funds to purchase 10 Kindle Fires for the pediatric unit of a local hospital in UT. How does Kindles for Kids work? From March 12th-31st of 2012, I will be donating the *royalties I make on THE FAIRY GODMOTHER DILEMMA: CATSPELL–both in paper and e-book form–toward the purchase of the Kindle Fires. Royalties are paid a month to two months after the fact. Factoring in that as well as putting in the order, receiving them, and getting them ready, I will be delivering the Kindle Fires to the hospital in June of 2012. How can you participate? If you are an author (published) or a writer (unpublished), this link will explain it more. A more detailed link can be found here. In short, I’m hosting an open call for donating **books you have the rights to for the hospital. One book per Kindle Fire. You can also participate… Read more »

{Guest Post+G!veaway} Dies Irae by Christine Fonseca

{Guest Post+G!veaway} Dies Irae by Christine Fonseca

Today I have Christine Fonseca with us to share 10 facts about Dies Irae as well as an awesome giveaway. Thank you so much Christine! Be sure to come back tonight to check out my review of Dies Irae. Top 10 Things You Don’t Know About DIES IRAE and the Requiem Series Thanks for inviting me Michelle. I had a blast thinking about ten things readers don’t know about the series. After collaborating with my teen group a bit, I think I finally came up with something: 1. The first book written was actually the novel, LACRIMOSA. The idea for the DIES IRAE came more than a year later, though the premise for it was always in the novel. 2. After DIES IRAE was written, I had to change several things in LACRIMOSA, including reviving a character—one I had cut during the millions of rounds of edits the story had in its early stages. 3. I came up with the name Mikayel after mis-typing Michael on a million emails at work…. Read more »

{Guest Post+Giveaway} Author Melissa Foster

Today I have author Melissa Foster here with me. She is going to share a top 10 list with us. I love number 6. I may or may not have been found guilty of talking out loud to myself. After the guest post(at the bottom of this post) there will be a giveaway for 3 ecopies of Come Back to Me! So cool 🙂—————————————— Thank you, Michelle, for hosting me on your blog today. I have something fun to share today. I debated writing a serious article that might spark deep and meaningful conversation, but then I decided to throw caution to the wind. This year I published two books, CHASING AMANDA (April 2011) and COME BACK TO ME (November 2011). Both have become bestsellers (Yay!). This year has been a busy one, and this week has added to the excitement. Both CHASING AMANDA and MEGAN’S WAY hit International Bestseller this week—something I wouldn’t even have known if it wasn’t for my good friend author Stacy Eaton, who was kind… Read more »

I read plenty of paranormal books, but I have not had that much experience in alien books. I have seen plenty of alien movies, but reading about aliens is just plain different. It is creepier to me for some reason. I got pretty spooked a few times while reading Cicada. And I really liked… Read more »
