{Review+Giveaway} Truth or Beard by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

{Review+Giveaway} Truth or Beard by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

As soon as I read Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid, and I was introduced to the 6 Winston Brothers, I was hooked. I knew that I wanted to read their stories. And of course Penny answered. Penny Reid is incredible at listening to her fans and giving them exactly what they want. I love that about her. And what I love even more is her writing. No one writes romance like Penny Reid. Her books are always witty, gripping and so, so, much fun to read. Truth or Beard is the first book in the Winston Brothers series. It features Duane, one of the two twins. I could not get enough of Duane and Jessica. I loved their back and forth bickering, almost as much as they seemed to love it. I really really want to see more of them, because as much as I absolutely loved this story, it didn’t seem finished to me. I felt like the last 1/4th of the book was more focused on… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Elements of Chemistry: Capture by Penny Reid @reidromance @indiesagepromo

Capture by Penny Reid Hypothesis #3 Publication Date: May 16, 2015 Genres: Contemporary, Humor, New Adult, Romance One week. Manhattan apartment. Super-hot ex-boyfriend. …What’s the worst that could happen? It’s been nine months since Kaitlyn Parker has seen or heard from Martin Sandeke—nine months and five stages of matter. She’s lived through the worst of first-love heartbreak, and is most certainly stronger (and less likely to hide in science cabinets) than ever before. But now Martin is back. And he wants to be friends. But he’s sending mixed signals to the Bunsen burner in Kaitlyn’s pants. Will Martin re-capture Kaitlyn’s heart? Can Kaitlyn and Martin ever be just friends? Or, despite an abundance of chemistry, are some bonds just too unstable to endure?   By now it is no secret that I am absolutely IN LOVE with Penny Reid and this series. It is just wonderful. I think all fans of new adult and romantic comedies should read it. But instead of a normal review I am just going to… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Elements of Chemistry: Attraction by Penny Reid @reidromance @indiesagepromo

{Review+Giveaway} Elements of Chemistry: Attraction by Penny Reid @reidromance @indiesagepromo

Words cannot express how excited I was when I found out this book was happening. It is a continuation/the novel length version of a short story published in a new adult anthology, called Breakaway. It was my favorite of the 14 stories in that anthology, and I wasn’t the only one that thought that. This is what I wrote about Bunsen Burner Bingo in my review of the spring break anthology, “beyond adorable. I want to see a full length book with the story of Katy and Martin. I loved that Martin was both this super smart science geek and a hot frat guy. Katy was someone who was burned in the past and hides behind her clothes and her science. This short story was laugh out loud funny and I want more!” Penny Reid got an overwhelming response, asking for more Kaitlyn and Martin, and she answered our calls! Elements of chemistry was born! It is going to be told in 3 parts, Attraction, Heat and Capture, and I… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} The Hooker and the Hermit by @LHCosway & Penny Reid @ReidRomance

Obsessed. That is one word to describe how I have become with all of Penny Reid’s books. This is the third one that I have read from her and I think every single one of them got 5 star reviews from me. That is crazy! I am a huge fan of her blend of comedy, wittiness and romance. It is something that seems to work for me every single time. I didn’t even know this was a collaboration between Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway until I started to put this post together. Now I have another author on my radar. I must find some more of L.H. Cosway’s books to read. There are so many things that I loved about The Hooker and the Hermit, so I am just going to give you a few of the highlights. And before we start that, get your minds out of the gutter- this kind of hooker is the rugby equivalent of a quarterback. Ok, back to the things that I loved about… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

{Review+Giveaway} Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

I first discovered Penny Reid in her excerpt of a new adult story called Bunsen Burner Bingo in a new adult anthology. As soon as I was done with the story, I knew I wanted more! (that story got such a great reception that it is being made into a full length novel to be released in 2015!) And after reading Beauty and the Mustache, books #1-3 from the knitting in the city series are going straight on my wishlist! I loved Beauty and the Mustache. It is an adult contemporary so called “smart” romance. It is witty and adorable, and so, so well done. I know you will fall in love with Penny’s writing just like I did. And her characters. Beauty and the Mustache can be read as a standalone. I never felt lost or confused. The other stories were about her friends in Chicago in her knitting group. We got to see a good bit of them in this book, even though almost all of the story… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} Breakaway : A New Adult Spring Break Anthology

{Review+Giveaway} Breakaway : A New Adult Spring Break Anthology

Breakaway will have a story or two in it for everyone. Whether you like light and fluffy, dark and gritty, cute, sexy, or smokin’ hot, there are stories that will satisfy any romantic craving. I absolutely loved Breakaway. It was perfect for getting my quick romantic fixes. The stories were varying lengths and had completely different feels to them. I gravitated towards the longer stories and the cute and fun ones. But some of the darker ones were really interesting. I thought it was a really eclectic mix of Spring Break tales, but all of them had a very new adult vibe to them. Some of them were downright hot hot hot. I liked a few of the stories so much that I had to drop everything, look the author up and write to them about their other books and buy them. I was also pleasantly surprised at how many stories there were in the book. It seemed like a pretty good length book, and there were 13 different… Read more »
