{Review+Giveaway} Body Parts by @JessKapp @DiversionBooks

{Review+Giveaway} Body Parts by @JessKapp @DiversionBooks

Body Parts by Jessica Kapp is a young adult science fiction. I don’t read a ton of science fiction/ dystopian fiction, but every now and again one sounds too good to pass up. Body Parts was that novel that sounded too good for me to pass up. I loved the concept of a world that has a pill to fix almost anything. Of course, a lot of the fixes were superficial, but some of them were almost super power like. It was really interesting. However, the pills came at a cost. (Just like in the real world.) the pills call stress and failure of some organs. Our main character Tabitha is being trained with others her age to try and make them attractive candidates for adoption. I liked Tabitha. She was a character that I developed an attachment to more and more as the book went on. But I wouldn’t say Body Parts was a very character driven story. It was more plot driven. Initially, I was super interested in… Read more »

{Review+Giveaway} The Big F by Maggie Ann Martin @SwoonReads @maggersann

{Review+Giveaway} The Big F by Maggie Ann Martin @SwoonReads @maggersann

The Big F is author Maggie Ann Martin’s debut novel, and I have to say, I loved it! The Big F is a young adult contemporary romance that is sure to put a smile on your face. This book gave me major Kasie West vibes…obviously in a great way! I honestly enjoyed everything about this book. Right from the moment I picked it up, to the very last page, I had a great time reading The Big F. Can we also talk about the awesome cover for a moment. I love it! I think it is so perfect for this story. I love the doodling on the cover as well. The Big F is the story of Dani and Luke. Dani thought she had her future planned out, until an F got her rejected from her dream college. Can I first just say, this would have sent me into a tailspin when I was in high school, so I really related to Dani. I liked her character a lot. And… Read more »

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely

{Release Day Review+Giveaway} Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely

MOST VALUABLE PLAYBOY is a standalone sports romance by Lauren Blakely. I was super excited for this book for two reasons. One, it is written by Lauren Blakely, and I love her romances and two it is written in the guy’s POV! I am such a huge fan of romances written in the guy’s point of view. I just love to get inside their heads and live for awhile, and I know I am not the only person who feels that way. You will all be happy to know that I absolutely LOVED Most Valuable Playboy. It was everything I was looking for in a sports romance and more. It might even be my very favorite Lauren Blakely book to date! Most Valuable Playboy is the story of  Cooper and Violet. There are so many of my favorite Tropes in this story, I don’t even know where to start. We have a fake relationship, we have guy’s point of view, we have best friend’s sister. So many yeses!!! So many!… Read more »

{ARC Review+Giveaway} I Hate Everyone but You by @AllisonRaskin @GabyDunn @WednesdayBooks

{ARC Review+Giveaway} I Hate Everyone but You by @AllisonRaskin @GabyDunn @WednesdayBooks

I Hate Everyone But You is a story about the friendship between two girls that go away to different colleges. It is written by Gaby Dunn and Allison Raskin, two girls that have a popular YouTube channel. I have not personally watched their youtube channel but I am all about this trend of influencers writing novels. It was really easy for me to put the two main characters in Gaby and Allison’s shoes. I have no idea if they meant for that to happen, but I have seen in a few other reviews that their characters are really similar to the two girls on their youtube channel. What I liked the most about I Hate Everyone But you was the format it was told in. These two best friends move away from each other and go to different colleges. I love how relatable that is. We have all had friends that we have to physically leave at some point or another, whether it’s for school or for a job etc…. Read more »

{Review} Beard in Mind by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

{Review} Beard in Mind by Penny Reid @ReidRomance

You all know by now that I am the biggest fan of Penny Reid. And of the Winston brothers. As soon as I read Beauty and the Mustache by Penny Reid, and I was introduced to the 6 Winston Brothers, I was hooked. I knew that I wanted to read their stories. And then I read Truth or Beard, and I loved that even more. And then I read Beard Science, and I loved that the most of all!! There is not a Penny Reid book that I don’t love. And what I love even more is her writing. No one writes romance like Penny Reid. Her books are always witty, gripping and so, so, much fun to read. Beard in Mind is the fourth book in the Winston Brothers series. Each of the books in this series can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading them in order because they are all pure magic, and you will want to experience every minute of them. Trust me on… Read more »

{ARC Review} Fireblood by @Elly_Blake @TheNovl

{ARC Review} Fireblood by @Elly_Blake @TheNovl

Fireblood is the second book in the Frostblood saga and should be read in order. This review might contain light spoilers from the first book.  If you are new to the series, you can check out my review of the first book HERE Fireblood is the second book in the young adult fantasy Frostblood Saga series by Elly Blake. I read Frostblood at the end of last year and I really loved it. I have been itching for the second book in the series ever since.  I loved the lore and myths behind the Firebloods and the Frostbloods. and I am so, so happy to say that I loved Fireblood just as much as Frostblood.  I am so ready for book three, Nightblood! I need it right now! Fireblood was just as action packed as the first installment, and we learned so much more about the Firebloods, the Minax and the history of the world. There are plenty more secrets to be revealed in the next book. If you remember… Read more »

{Review} The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee @yeebookauthor @abramskids ‏@PiqueBeyond @ACBYA

I am so so glad I read The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee! Seriously, this book was fresh and exciting and so so much fun. I can’t remember having read anything like this in a while! The Epic Crush of Genie Lo is based on chinese folklore and mythology, which I loved for so many reasons. I love the magic elements of it, I love anything mythology related and I really loved that it was based on the folklore of a country I don’t know much about. Learning about the Monkey King and Buddha, the hundreds of demons, and all the deities was so so interesting. Plus, there were all kinds of twists and turns that I am so not spoiling because I loved them so much! When Quentin met Genie he knew her right away, but we don’t know how. And how he knew her was nothing I was guessing and I completely LOVED IT! Ok, ok, if you really want to know what I loved about this… Read more »
