Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison can Read.   If you are new to the #FF fun, Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. First you leave your name on Parajunkee’s site, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to Parajunkee, and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hi in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! ok now for the question! Q. In books like the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series the paranormal creature in question “comes out of the closet” and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish would come out of the closet, for real?  I wish the fae would “come out of the closet”. They are so interesting to me! Bout of Books Read-A-Thon- Day 2 Summary

Well, day two of the read-a-thon is almost done and today was busier than expected too! When will I just get a free day to relax and read? Squeeze in packing time and book time got bumped to the back burner. I only got 1/2 of a book read! I’m going to read some more before bed but I wanted to get my summary post up before midnight, so whatever I read past 10:30 pm will just go onto my totals for tomorrow. 8/22Number of books I’ve read today: 1/2 of a bookName of books completed today: half of Gypsy KnightsNumber of pages read today: about 150Total number of pages read: 452Total number of books I’ve read: 1.5 booksTime spent reading today: 1.5 hoursToday #insixwords: frustrating, busy, annoying, hectic, stressful, busy I… Read more »

New Blog Design!!

New Blog Design!!

Hey guys, I am so excited to share with you my pretty new blog design! I love it! What do you guys think. I had it done by Livia over at Butterfly-o-meter designs. She is such a joy to work with, and so fast! She is a fellow book blogger. You can find her blog, Butterfly-o-meter books HERE. I told her the basic idea of what I wanted and we tossed some ideas back and forth and she got right to work. The whole thing from start to finish took under 10 days! I could not believe it. She is so nice and has such great ideas! She re-did everything for me! She made a completely new, and awesome, design for Book Briefs. The design came with anything and everything I could think of throwing at her. She made social media icons, the header, blog button, signature, related posts, a new gavel rating system for my reviews, and stickers for my reviews and giveaways!  All book bloggers should run to… Read more »
