Our colonization ship crashed, stranding us on a strange new world. To make matters worse, my best friend disappeared while scouting the area near our crash site.

In my search to find her, I’m stolen by a dragon—a creature straight out of every fairy tale book I’d ever read as a child.

He takes me back to his kingdom and I’m shocked when he shifts into a man—a fierce Drakarian warrior. He claims that I am his fated one—his Linaya.

Despite my protests, he refuses to let me go—and I cannot deny that I’m drawn to him in ways I do not understand.

The more time we spend together, I begin to wonder: what would it be like to be fated to a dragon?

My Thoughts

Stolen by the Wind Dragon Prince is the second book in the adult scifi/fantasy series, Elemental Dragon Warriors by Aria Winter & Jade Waltz. I have not read the first book in the series, and while I don’t think you technically need to, I still wish that I had. I think each of the books in the Elemental Dragon Warriors series can be read as a standalone, but I think I would have preferred to have been introduced to the world through book one- Claimed by the Fire Dragon. I think I will go back and read book one before continuing on with the series, so if you are new to the series, you might want to start there but you don’t need to. This series is available to read for free through Kindle Unlimited, which I love!

I enjoyed Stolen by the Wind Dragon Prince. Fated Mates is one of my favorite romance tropes, especially in a fantasy or science fiction setting because the magic of it all just makes it extra romantic in my opinion. I especially like a fated mates trope when there is some animosity around the two main characters, which is what happened in Stolen by the Wind Dragon Prince. Raidyn, our dragon warrior prince basically steals away Skye when he first met her, claiming that she is his Linaya (fated mate).  Skye is searching for her friend when Raidyn finds her. I found Raidyn to be a wonderful character, and I think the dragons in this series are so interesting because they are not your typical fantasy dragon shifters, but rather they are a scifi spin on the classic because here the dragons are aliens. I have to admit that I have not read many dragon alien books, but I really dug it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

I believe Skye’s best friend is the main heroine of the first book in the series, which really makes me want to go and read her story! I got the feeling that the plot is going to be an over arching bigger plot across all of the books, so I am super interested to see how that is going to pan out. I will say that this book felt a little short. I wish it were longer so I could have gotten to know the characters a little better and seen more of their romance, but it was a fun fast paced story. If you are a fan of science fiction stories with a strong romance theme, and you love the idea of fated mates, this is going to be a great series for you to check out. I loved all the swoony vibes I got from Raidyn and Skye, and I can’t wait to meet the other Elemental dragons!
