Interview
  1. Describe Weekend with her Bachelor in a tweet (140 characters or less)

Brought together by a winning bid, Gavin & Ally have one weekend to see if old sparks can turn into new flames.

  1. What are your favorite kinds of books/tropes to read at the moment?

I’m a sucker for second chance romances and give me a good secret baby story, and I’m a happy girl.

  1. Tell us something about a character from the book that we wouldn’t have known.

The character of Vivi actually based on a real person, and author friend of mine, who is also named Vivi. She talks very fast and likes to keep people organized.

  1. What is the most fun part of the writing process for you?

I love fleshing out characters. Building them from the ground up and making them breathe. After that I love revising, especially when I have feedback.

  1. If we had an author talent show, what would your talent be?

I build amazing heroes. I’d totally win the event.

Weekend with her Bachelor is the fourth book in the Bachelor Auction series by Jeannie Moon. This is the first book in the series that I have had the pleasure of reading, but I had so much fun with it that I want to go back and grab the first three books pronto. All you have to do is read the above graphic to get an idea of what the book is about and how much fun it will be. Auctions= fun, weddings = fun, and together you can bet that they will be a great beach read.

I really liked hard working Gavin and Sweet Ally. It was clear that both of them were interested in the other, so right off the bat I was really intrigued to see what exactly went down between the two of them in high school. The book is told in dual narrative between the two, and in each one of their second chapters they allude to this big falling out, and I have to say I was more than a little bit curious. Both of them seem like such nice people that I couldn’t imagine either one of them hurting the other. And I was right, they both are very nice people. (though I wouldn’t say boring, I loved that Ally wanted to get her little bit of revenge, and nothing says revenge like showing your ex up with a super hot and awesome date.)

Bottom line: Weekend With Her Bachelor is a really quick, really fun read. It was a bit predictable, but that didn’t take away from any of the enjoyment of the story. It made me want to read the rest of the bachelor’s stories ASAP. Check this book out if you are looking for a quick beach read on a light and fluffy kind of day.

About Jeannie Moon

Jeannie Moon has always been a romantic. When she’s not spinning tales of her own, Jeannie works as a school librarian, thankful she has a job that allows her to immerse herself in books. Married to her high school sweetheart, Jeannie has three kids, three lovable dogs, and resides on Long Island, NY. If she’s more than ten miles away from salt water for any longer than a week, she gets twitchy.
