Life was great.
I loved my bachelor life and working my dream job with the Colorado Springs SWAT team.
That all changed the day I stepped into her bakery. Her smile swept me off my feet, and her panna cotta was heaven.
Cue my very traditional Greek family.
Then all hell broke loose.
The woman I was falling in love with was Italian, and my mother was hell-bent on proving to the world she was the better cook.
If my meddling family wasn’t bad enough, for the last six years Gabi had been on the run from a past she tried desperately to escape from.
Between a beautiful woman on the run, and a crazy family constantly in my business, would I be able to show her I’m the only one who can keep her safe … or will her past steal her away from me?

Only with Me is the second book in the adult contemporary romance, With Me series by Kelly Elliott. Each of the books in the With Me series can be read as standalones, and to be honest, I didn’t even realize this was the second book in the series until I pulled up the goodreads page to start compiling my post information. It really did read like a standalone. I loved the family dynamics in Only with Me. In fact, the geek mama was my very favorite part of the book. I found her to be hilariously awesome. The romance was also good, and overall this one was a decent read for me. I enjoyed it (the first half a little more than the second half) but it isn’t going to be a very memorable read in years to come. Still a fun sexy romance that will have you smiling.
Only with Me is told in dual narrative between our main couple, Gabi and Nic. Gabi is an awesome cook and is very italian. Nic is a SWAT team member and is very Greek. Nic’s Greek family was my favorite aspect of this story. I loved how loud and up front they were with their feelings. And watching Gabi collide into that world was great. It was really very heartwarming actually. But Gabi has a secret, and this is where the story started to lose some of the steam for me. I wasn’t all that interested to see what the big bad monster in her past was. I felt like she should have just been up front with Nic and they could have dealt with it and moved on, no problem. But she did one of my pet peeves and kept it all some big ole secret. Other than that, there really wasn’t anything I disliked about this book. I liked it overall.
Gabi and Nic have a lot of chemistry. Right from the very start that is apparent. Their romance is hot and heavy right away. I liked reading about their story. Bottom line: Only with Me is a decent read. I liked it. I would love to see more from Nic’s Greek family!

I like that these two characters have great chemistry and I enjoy reading stories told in dual narrator format. I think I’ll skip this one as you only gave it 3 stars.
